Important Safeguards

Before First Use

  4. For the first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure good ventilation.
  5. Allow the toaster to cool completely before its first actual use with food.

Operating Instructions

Toasting Bread

  1. Plug the toaster into a 120V AC wall outlet.
  2. Place one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots. The self-adjusting guides will center the bread.
  3. Press the Shade Selection button repeatedly to choose your desired browning level from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest). The selected shade will be displayed.
  4. Push the high lift lever down until it locks into place. The digital countdown timer will begin, indicating the remaining toasting time.
  5. When the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up, and the toaster will shut off.
  6. If the toast is not browned enough, you can lower the lever again for a short additional cycle, but monitor closely to prevent burning.

Bagel Function

The Bagel function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.

  1. Insert the bagel halves into the toasting slots with the cut side facing inwards.
  2. Select your desired browning level using the Shade Selection button.
  3. Press the Bagel button. The indicator light above the Bagel button will illuminate.
  4. Push the high lift lever down until it locks. The toaster will begin the bagel cycle.

Defrost Function

The Defrost function is designed to toast frozen bread, waffles, or pastries, adding extra time to the cycle to thaw before toasting.

  1. Place frozen items into the toasting slots.
  2. Select your desired browning level using the Shade Selection button.
  3. Press the Defrost button. The indicator light above the Defrost button will illuminate.
  4. Push the high lift lever down until it locks. The toaster will begin the defrost and toast cycle.

Cancel Function

To stop the toasting cycle at any time, simply press the Cancel button. The lever will immediately pop up, and the toaster will turn off.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and longevity of your toaster.

  1. Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting. Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Toaster does not turn on. Not plugged in; power outage; faulty outlet. Ensure toaster is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check household circuit breaker.
