1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SEPOX Keyless Smart Lock with Handle Set. This smart lock offers multiple entry methods including fingerprint, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (with optional gateway), and emergency key access. It is designed for enhanced security and convenience in various residential and commercial settings.

3. Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully to install your SEPOX Smart Lock. A video guide is also available for visual assistance.

3.1. Pre-Installation Checks

  1. Measure Door Dimensions: Ensure your door meets the required specifications for the deadbolt and handle set backset. The minimum distance between the deadbolt and handle set boreholes should be 5 inches (127mm).
  2. Door Thickness: The lock is compatible with standard door thicknesses.

3.2. Deadbolt Installation

  1. Install Deadbolt Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge. Ensure the 'UP' mark on the latch is facing upwards. Secure it with the provided latch screws.
  2. Install Exterior Deadbolt Assembly: Route the cable from the exterior assembly over the deadbolt latch. Insert the spindle through the deadbolt mechanism.
  3. Attach Mounting Plate: Position the mounting plate over the deadbolt latch, ensuring the cable passes through the designated notch. Secure the mounting plate with screws.
  4. Install Interior Deadbolt Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly. Align the interior assembly with the mounting plate and secure it with the long screws. Insert 4 AA batteries and close the battery cover.

3.3. Handle Set Installation

  1. Install Handle Latch: Insert the handle latch into the door edge below the deadbolt. Secure it with the provided screws.
  2. Install Exterior Handle Set: Insert the exterior handle set through the door, aligning it with the handle latch.
  3. Install Interior Handle Lever: Attach the interior handle lever to the exterior handle set, ensuring proper alignment. Secure it with the handle lever screws.

4. Operation

The SEPOX Smart Lock offers multiple convenient ways to lock and unlock your door.

5. Tuya App Control

The SEPOX Smart Lock integrates with the Tuya or Smart Life app for advanced control and management.

Note: Wi-Fi connectivity and remote access features require a separate Wi-Fi gateway (sold separately).

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The SEPOX Smart Lock operates on 4 AA alkaline batteries, providing approximately 18 months of battery life. The lock will provide low battery warnings. To replace batteries:

  1. Remove the battery cover on the interior deadbolt assembly.
  2. Remove the old batteries and insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Replace the battery cover.

The lock also features a backup power port for temporary power using a standard USB power bank in case of complete battery depletion.

6.2. Cleaning

Clean the lock's exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SEPOX Smart Lock, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
