The DAREU EK98pro is a high-performance 96% layout wireless mechanical keyboard designed for both gaming and professional use. It offers versatile connectivity options, a comfortable typing experience, and extensive customization features.

Upon unboxing your DAREU EK98pro keyboard, please ensure all the following items are present:

Setup

Connectivity Modes

The EK98pro supports three connection modes: Bluetooth 5.1, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired. You can connect to up to five devices simultaneously.

• USB-C Wired: Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C cable from your computer to the keyboard's USB-C port.
• 2.4GHz Wireless: Insert the included USB wireless dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will automatically connect.
• Bluetooth 5.1: Activate Bluetooth on your device and put the keyboard into Bluetooth pairing mode. Select 'DAREU EK98pro' from your device's Bluetooth list to pair.

Adjustable Feet

The keyboard features 2-stage adjustable feet on the underside, allowing you to set the typing angle for optimal comfort and ergonomics.

Operating the Keyboard

RGB Lighting Control

The EK98pro features south-facing RGB lighting with 26 backlight modes and 16.8 million colors. Brightness and speed can be adjusted directly on the keyboard or through the dedicated driver software.

Driver Macro Customization

All macros and keys on the EK98pro are customizable through the official DAREU driver software. This allows for personalized shortcuts, RGB backlight effects, and text templates.

Compatibility

The DAREU EK98pro is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS operating systems, offering seamless integration for various computing environments.

Maintenance

Keycap Care

The keyboard features double shot PBT keycaps, known for their durability and resistance to fading. To clean, gently wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Hot-Swappable Switches

The EK98pro's PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, allowing for easy replacement and customization without soldering. Use the included keycap and switch puller for safe removal and installation.

Troubleshooting

• Connectivity Issues: Ensure the keyboard is charged. For 2.4GHz, check dongle connection. For Bluetooth, ensure pairing mode is active and device Bluetooth is on. Try re-pairing.
• Keys Not Responding: Check if the keyboard is in the correct mode (wired/wireless/Bluetooth). If hot-swappable, ensure switches are properly seated.
• Lighting Problems: Adjust brightness and effects using the function keys. If issues persist, check driver software.
• Firmware/Software Issues: Visit the official DAREU website for the latest drivers and firmware updates. Follow instructions carefully for installation.
• Battery Life: Ensure the keyboard is fully charged. Turn off RGB lighting for extended battery life (up to 45 days with backlight off).
