4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting the Display

  1. Identify a suitable location on your electric bike or scooter handlebar (typically 22.2mm diameter).
  2. Loosen the screw on the display's mounting bracket.
  3. Position the display on the handlebar and tighten the screw securely, ensuring the display is stable and visible.

4.2 Electrical Connection

  1. Locate the corresponding 5-pin waterproof connector on your electric bike/scooter's controller or wiring harness.
  2. Align the pins carefully and firmly push the display's connector into the vehicle's connector until it clicks into place. Ensure a tight, secure connection to maintain waterproofing.
  3. Route the cable safely, avoiding moving parts or areas where it could be pinched or damaged.

Note: This display is compatible with 24V, 36V, and 48V systems. Verify your vehicle's voltage before connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on the display, press and hold the M button for approximately 2 seconds.
  • To power off the display, press and hold the M button again for approximately 2 seconds.

5.2 Display Functions

The G51 LCD display provides various real-time data:

  • Speed Display (CUR): Shows current speed in Km/h.
  • Battery Power (POWER): Indicates the remaining battery charge level.
  • PAS Grades (ASSIST): Shows the current level of pedal assist (e.g., 0-5 levels).
  • Odometer (ODO): Displays the total distance traveled.
  • Trip Distance (TRIP): Displays the distance traveled during the current ride.

5.3 Button Functions

  • M Button: Power On/Off (long press), Cycle through display modes (short press).
  • + Button: Increase PAS level, Increase value in settings.
  • - Button: Decrease PAS level, Decrease value in settings.

5.4 Parameter Settings (P-Settings)

To access and adjust advanced settings:

  1. With the display powered on, press and hold the + and - buttons simultaneously for a few seconds to enter the P-setting menu.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to navigate through the P-parameters (P01, P02, etc.).
  3. Press the M button to select a parameter for adjustment.
  4. Use the + and - buttons to change the value of the selected parameter.
  5. Press the M button again to confirm the new value and move to the next parameter, or long press M to exit the settings menu.

Consult your electric bike/scooter's main controller manual for specific P-parameter definitions and recommended values. Incorrect settings can affect performance or safety.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the display screen and body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Connection Check: Periodically inspect the 5-pin connector for corrosion or damage. Ensure it remains securely connected.
  • Water Resistance: While the display is designed to be rainproof, avoid submerging it in water or using high-pressure water jets for cleaning.
  • Storage: If storing your electric bike/scooter for an extended period, ensure the display is clean and dry.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Display Not Turning On:
    • Check if the main power of the electric bike/scooter is on.
    • Verify that the 5-pin connector is securely attached and free from damage.
    • Ensure the battery has sufficient charge.
  • Incorrect Speed/Distance Readings:
    • Check the P-settings related to wheel size and speed sensor calibration. Refer to your main controller manual.
    • Ensure the speed sensor (if external) is properly installed and functioning.
  • Buttons Unresponsive:
    • Ensure the display is not exposed to moisture or extreme cold.
    • Gently clean around the buttons to remove any debris.
  • Display Backlight Not Working:
