Setup

Before first use, ensure the solar light is fully charged. Place the light in direct sunlight for at least 8-10 hours to activate the battery and ensure optimal performance.

Installation Methods

The Linkind solar light offers two convenient installation options:

  1. Ground Stake Installation:

This method is ideal for gardens, lawns, and pathways. Simply attach the ground stake to the light unit and firmly insert it into the soil. No tools are required for this method.

This image illustrates the four steps for ground stake installation: 1. Attach the stake connector to the light unit. 2. Connect the ground stake to the connector. 3. Insert the assembled light into the ground. 4. Adjust the light head to the desired angle.

  2. Wall Mount Installation:

For enhanced security or specific lighting angles, the light can be mounted on a wall. Use the provided screws and anchors to secure the mounting bracket, then attach the light unit.

This image shows the four steps for wall mount installation: 1. Drill holes and insert wall anchors. 2. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall. 3. Attach the light unit to the bracket. 4. Adjust the light head for optimal coverage.

Ensure the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for efficient charging.

Operating Modes

The Linkind solar light features three intelligent lighting modes to suit different needs. To switch between modes, locate the red button on the back of the light unit and press it repeatedly until the desired mode is selected. A long press (3 seconds or more) on the switch allows you to change the color temperature.

  • Mode 1: Always-on Mode

In this mode, the light stays on at a low brightness throughout the entire night, providing continuous ambient illumination.

  • Mode 2: DIM Mode

The light remains at a low brightness. When motion is detected, it switches to high brightness. After approximately 20 seconds of no motion, it reverts to low brightness.

  • Mode 3: Sensor Mode

The light remains off. When motion is detected, it turns on at high brightness. After approximately 20 seconds of no motion, it turns off completely.

This image visually explains the three operating modes: Always-on mode (low brightness all night), DIM mode (low brightness, brightens with motion, then returns to low), and Sensor mode (off, brightens with motion, then turns off).

Color Temperature Adjustment

The Linkind solar light allows you to choose between two color temperatures:

  • 6500K: Daylight white, providing a bright, crisp illumination.
  • 3000K: Warm white, offering a softer, more inviting glow.

To switch between color temperatures, press and hold the mode switch button for 3 seconds or more until the light changes to the desired color.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Linkind solar light, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean the Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging.
  • Clear Obstructions: Ensure no trees, bushes, or other objects are blocking direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel, especially during peak charging hours.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the light unit, wiring, and mounting for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.
  • Winter Care: In areas with heavy snow, clear snow from the solar panel to allow for charging. While the light is IP67 rated, extreme prolonged submersion should be avoided.

Troubleshooting

If your Linkind solar light is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on at night.Insufficient charging; solar panel is dirty or obstructed; light sensor detects ambient light.Ensure solar panel receives 8-10 hours of direct sunlight daily. Clean the solar panel. Relocate the light away from other light sources (e.g., streetlights, house lights).
Light is dim or only stays on for a short period.Insufficient charging; battery capacity reduced due to cold weather or age.Ensure maximum sun exposure for charging. In winter, charging efficiency may be lower. If the battery is old, its performance may degrade over time.
Motion sensor is not detecting movement.Detection range obstructed; sensor is dirty; light is in an incorrect mode.Clear any obstructions in front of the sensor. Clean the sensor lens. Verify the light is set to DIM mode or Sensor mode.
Cannot change modes or color temperature.Button not pressed correctly; internal malfunction.Ensure you are pressing the button firmly and for the correct duration (short press for mode, long press for color). If the issue persists, contact customer support.
