The compact digital camera comes with all necessary accessories to get you started. Ensure the 32GB TF card is formatted before first use to ensure proper file storage.

3.1 Camera Components

  • Digital Zoom + / Digital Zoom -: Adjusts the digital zoom level.

  • 18X Digital Zoom with 180° Flip Screen: Supports 18x digital zoom and features a 3-inch IPS 180° flip-up screen for easy selfies and vlogging.
  • Multifunctional Point and Shoot Digital Cameras: Offers four photo modes (Continuous shooting, Timed shooting, Auto photo mode, Normal photo mode) and four video modes (Time lapse recording, Loop recording, Slow motion recording, Normal video mode), along with various filters.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

To power your camera, install the provided 1150mAh Lithium Polymer batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct orientation as indicated by the diagram inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Important: If the battery is installed in the opposite direction, the camera will not be able to charge or store power. It will only turn on and be usable when plugged in via the Type-C cable, and will not function when unplugged.

4.2 TF Card Installation and Formatting

The camera requires a TF (microSD) card for storing photos and videos. A 32GB TF card is included.

  1. Locate the TF card slot, usually near the battery compartment or on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the TF card with the gold contacts facing down (or as indicated by the camera's slot diagram) until it clicks into place.
  3. Before first use, it is highly recommended to format the TF card using the camera's menu. Navigate to the 'Settings' menu, find 'Format Card' or 'Format Storage', and confirm. This ensures optimal performance and compatibility.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power on/off button located on the top of the camera to turn it on or off.

5.2 Basic Photography and Video Modes

Your camera offers various modes to suit different shooting scenarios. Use the Rotating function dial to select your desired mode.

  • Normal Photo Mode: Standard mode for taking single still images.
  • Continuous Shooting: Captures a rapid sequence of photos with a single press of the shutter button. Ideal for action shots.
  • Timed Shooting (Self-Timer): Delays the shutter release by a set time (e.g., 2, 5, or 10 seconds) after pressing the shutter button, allowing you to get into the frame.
  • Auto Photo Mode: Automatically adjusts settings for optimal photo capture.
  • Normal Video Mode: Standard mode for recording video.
  • Time Lapse Recording: Captures a series of photos at set intervals and combines them into a video, showing changes over time.
  • Loop Recording: Records video continuously, overwriting older footage when the memory card is full.
  • Slow Motion Recording: Records video at a higher frame rate, allowing for slow-motion playback.
  • Macro Shooting: Designed for close-up photography, allowing you to capture intricate details of small subjects.

5.3 Focus Modes

The camera offers three focus modes:

  • Auto Focus: The camera automatically detects and focuses on the subject. To use, press the shutter button halfway; a green focus frame will appear. Once focused, press the shutter button fully to take the picture.
  • Manual Focus: Allows you to manually adjust the focus.
  • Fixed Focus: Maintains a fixed focus distance.

5.4 Zoom Function

The camera supports 18X digital zoom. Use the W/T buttons (Digital Zoom - / Digital Zoom +) to zoom in or out. Note that digital zoom can affect picture quality, especially at higher magnifications.

5.5 Using the 180° Flip Screen

The 3-inch IPS screen can be flipped 180 degrees, making it ideal for selfies, vlogging, and unique shooting angles.

Note: This is a 180° flip screen. Do not force it beyond its intended rotation. For better use of the camera and for storage, please leave the screen unflipped when the camera is not in use.

5.6 Wireless Wi-Fi Function

The built-in Wi-Fi allows for instant sharing of photos and videos to your mobile phone.

  1. Press the MENU button to enter the settings and turn on Wi-Fi.
  2. Scan the first QR code displayed on the camera screen to download the companion app.
  3. Open the app on your mobile device and scan the second QR code on the camera to connect the camera to your phone.

5.7 Webcam Function

The camera can be used as a webcam for live streaming, video calls, and vlogging on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

  1. Connect the camera to your computer using the provided Type-C USB cable.
  2. Select 'Webcam Mode' on the camera's screen (if prompted).
  3. Your computer should recognize the camera as a webcam. Select it as your video input device in your preferred video conferencing or streaming software.

5.8 Flash and Fill Light

The camera is equipped with a high-brightness flash to capture clear images in dark environments. It also features a built-in fill light for brighter photos.

5.9 Exposure Compensation and ISO

Adjust exposure compensation to control the brightness of your photos. The camera also supports various ISO settings to manage sensitivity to light.

5.10 Various Filters

6. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your Gavonde Digital Camera:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries.
  • Battery Care: Charge batteries fully before use. Do not expose batteries to high temperatures or dispose of them in fire. Recycle used batteries responsibly.
  • Screen Protection: When not in use, ensure the flip screen is closed or protected to prevent scratches.

7. Troubleshooting
