- Scalding may occur if the reservoir lid is removed during the brewing cycle.

Setup and First Use
1. Initial Cleaning
- Before first use, wash the water reservoir, milk reservoir, portafilter, filter baskets, and drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
2. Filling the Water Reservoir
- Remove the water reservoir from the back of the machine.
- Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line.
- Place the water reservoir back onto the machine, ensuring it is seated correctly.

3. Priming the Pump (First Use)
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
- Place an empty cup on the drip tray.
- Press the Power button (I/O) to turn on the machine. The 'READY' light will illuminate when heated.
- Press the '1 ESPRESSO' button. Water will dispense, priming the pump. Repeat this step 2-3 times until water flows smoothly.
- Discard the water. The machine is now ready for use.
Operating Instructions
Making Espresso
- Prepare Coffee Grounds: Use finely ground espresso coffee. Fill the appropriate filter basket (1-shot or 2-shot) with ground coffee. Do not overfill.
- Tamp Coffee: Use the tamper to gently press the coffee grounds evenly.
- Insert Portafilter: Slide the portafilter into the machine from the front and lock it into place by rotating the handle to the right.

- Place Cup: Position your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray beneath the portafilter spouts.
- Brew Espresso: Press either the '1 ESPRESSO' or '2 ESPRESSO' button. The machine will automatically brew the selected amount of espresso.

Making Cappuccino or Latte
- Prepare Espresso: Follow steps 1-4 for making espresso.
- Fill Milk Reservoir: Fill the milk reservoir with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to the MAX line. Insert the milk reservoir into the machine.
- Adjust Froth: Rotate the frothing knob on the milk reservoir to your desired froth level (Latte for less froth, Cappuccino for more froth).
- Brew Drink: Place your cup under the milk spout and portafilter. Press either the '1 CAPPUCCINO', '2 CAPPUCCINO', '1 LATTE', or '2 LATTE' button. The machine will automatically brew espresso and froth milk into your cup.

Control Panel Functions

- MANUAL: Allows you to manually control the espresso shot volume. Press once to start, press again to stop.
- FROTH: Activates the milk frother independently for manual frothing.
- CLEAN: Initiates a cleaning cycle for the milk system.
- ESPRESSO (1 / 2): Brews a single or double shot of espresso.
- CAPPUCCINO (1 / 2): Prepares a single or double cappuccino.
- LATTE (1 / 2): Prepares a single or double latte.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your espresso machine.
Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray after each use or when the indicator shows it's full.
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: Remove spent coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter baskets under warm water.
- Milk Reservoir: After each milk-based drink, remove the milk reservoir and press the 'CLEAN' button to flush the milk system. Empty any remaining milk, rinse the reservoir, and wash with warm, soapy water.

Descaling
Descaling should be performed regularly (e.g., every 2-3 months, or more often with hard water) to remove mineral buildup.
- Fill the water reservoir with a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaler) according to the descaler's instructions.
- Place a large container under the portafilter and milk spout.
- Run several brewing cycles (e.g., 2-3 '2 ESPRESSO' cycles and 2-3 '2 LATTE' cycles) until the reservoir is empty.
- Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
- Run several cycles with fresh water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
