Operating Instructions

The Oasser Airbrush Compressor Kit offers precise control for various artistic applications.

  1. Prepare Your Paint: Ensure your paint is properly thinned for airbrushing. For beginners, practice with clean water to familiarize yourself with the spray pattern and control. The paint should be diluted to a consistency similar to red wine.
  2. Fill the Fluid Cup: Carefully pour the prepared paint into the 7cc fluid cup on top of the airbrush.
  3. Power On: Press the power button on the compressor to turn it on.
  4. Adjust Pressure Mode: The compressor features three pressure modes: Low, Medium, and High.
Press the mode button to cycle through these settings.
    • Low Pressure: Ideal for fine details, nail art, makeup design, and small parts.
    • Medium Pressure: Suitable for models, shoes, and clothes.
    • High Pressure: Best for large area spraying and broader coverage.

  1. Operate the Dual-Action Airbrush:
    • Press down on the trigger to release air.
    • Pull back on the trigger to release paint.
    • By coordinating these two movements, you can control both the airflow and the amount of paint sprayed, allowing for precise lines and broad coverage.
  2. Begin Spraying: Hold the airbrush at an appropriate distance from your surface and begin spraying. Always start and end your spray off the main work area to avoid splatters.

Tips for Beginners:

  • Practice with water until you are comfortable with the airbrush's operation.
  • Always ensure paint is properly thinned to prevent clogging. Compatible paint types include water-based paint, acrylic paint, oil-based pre-mixed paint, and colored metallic paint. Avoid acrylic coating.

Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your airbrush kit. Always clean thoroughly after each use to prevent clogging.

  1. Empty Fluid Cup: After use, empty any remaining paint from the fluid cup.
  2. Add Cleaning Agent: Pour a suitable airbrush cleaning solution or appropriate solvent for your paint type into the fluid cup.
  3. Back-Flush: Plug the nozzle with your finger or a cap and press the trigger to allow air to bubble back into the cup. This helps to dislodge paint particles from inside the airbrush.
  4. Spray Out: Spray the cleaning solution onto a paper towel or into a waste container until the spray runs clear.
  5. Disassemble and Clean: For a more thorough cleaning, especially after using thicker paints or if clogging occurs, disassemble the airbrush components (needle, nozzle, cap). Use the provided small brush and cleaning tools to carefully clean each part.
  6. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, carefully reassemble the airbrush.
Four-step cleaning process for the airbrush: Add cleaning agent, plug nozzle and press knob, paint cleaning completed, release nozzle and spray liquid.

Storage: Store the airbrush and compressor in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
