2. Important Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Planning the Installation

  • Ducting Requirements: This range hood is designed for top venting (Round 6") and external ventilation only. It is not suitable for internal air recirculation. Ensure proper ducting is in place.
  • Mounting Height: For optimal performance and safety, the bottom of the range hood should be mounted between 24 and 30 inches above the cooking surface.
  • Electrical Requirements: The unit requires 120 Volts, 60 Hz, and 2.3 Amps. A dedicated circuit is recommended.

4.2 Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Wall: Locate wall studs and mark the mounting points for the hood and chimney brackets. Ensure the area is clear of electrical wires or plumbing.
  2. Install Mounting Brackets: Securely attach the hood mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors. Ensure it is level.
  3. Mount the Hood: Carefully lift the main hood assembly and hang it onto the wall mounting bracket. Ensure it is securely seated.
  4. Connect Ducting: Attach the 6-inch round ductwork to the top exhaust outlet of the hood. Seal all connections with duct tape to prevent air leaks.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect the range hood's electrical wiring to your household electrical supply, following local electrical codes. It is recommended to have this step performed by a qualified electrician.
  6. Install Chimney: Attach the upper and lower chimney sections to the hood and secure them to the chimney bracket on the wall. Adjust the chimney height as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off
