4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your vacuum cleaner before first use:

  4. Check Dust Bag Installation: Open the dust bag compartment (usually by pressing a latch or button). Ensure the 5-liter dust bag is correctly inserted and seated in its holder. Close the compartment securely.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your Fresh vacuum cleaner is straightforward:

  1. Power Connection: Extend the power cord from the back of the unit and plug it into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Power On/Off: Press the On/Off button (usually a large foot-operated button) to start the vacuum cleaner. Press it again to turn off.
  3. Adjust Suction Power: Use the power control dial (marked 'min' to 'max') on the main unit to adjust the suction power according to the cleaning task. Lower settings are suitable for delicate fabrics, higher settings for carpets and hard floors.
  4. Using Attachments: For specific cleaning tasks, detach the floor brush and attach the crevice tool for narrow spaces or the upholstery nozzle for furniture.
  5. Dust Bag Full Indicator: Monitor the dust bag full indicator. When it shows full, the dust bag needs to be replaced to maintain optimal suction.
  6. Automatic Cord Rewind: After use, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the wall outlet. Press the cord rewind button (if present) to automatically retract the power cord into the unit.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your vacuum cleaner.

6.1 Dust Bag Replacement

Replace the dust bag when the dust bag full indicator shows full, or when suction power decreases significantly.

  1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.
  2. Open the dust bag compartment cover.
  3. Carefully remove the full dust bag from its holder. Dispose of the bag responsibly.
  4. Insert a new Fresh compatible 5-liter dust bag, ensuring it is correctly seated in the holder.
  5. Close the dust bag compartment cover securely until it clicks.

6.2 Filter Cleaning (Washable Anti-Bacterial HEPA Filter)

The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly, approximately every 3-6 months depending on usage, or when suction power noticeably drops.

  1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Locate the HEPA filter compartment (refer to your vacuum cleaner's diagrams if unsure).
  3. Remove the HEPA filter.
  4. Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents or hot water.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not dry in direct sunlight or with a heat source.
  6. Once completely dry, reinsert the filter into its compartment and close the cover securely.

6.3 General Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Check the floor brush and nozzles for tangled hair or debris and remove as necessary.
