1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the AMZCHEF 4-in-1 Multi-functional Grill. This appliance is designed for versatility, allowing you to prepare a variety of meals including grilled dishes, waffles, sandwiches, and paninis. To ensure safe and efficient operation, please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Remove any packaging materials, stickers, or labels.
  3. Check that all parts are present and undamaged.

4.2 Initial Cleaning

  1. Before first use, wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  2. Wash the removable cooking plates and drip tray in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely. Alternatively, the plates can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
  3. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly and use.

4.3 Plate Installation

  1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged and cool.
  2. Select the desired cooking plates (waffle or grill/smooth).
  3. Align the plates with the slots on the upper and lower heating elements.
  4. Press down firmly until the plates click into place. Ensure they are securely locked.

4.4 Placement

Place the grill on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 General Operation

  1. Plug the appliance into a 220V power outlet. The LED display will illuminate.
  2. Select your desired cooking plates and install them (refer to Section 4.3).
  3. Use the control panel to set the temperature and time.
  4. Allow the grill to preheat. The indicator light will change when the set temperature is reached.
  5. Carefully place food onto the preheated plates.
  6. Close the lid (for contact cooking) or leave open (for table grill/griddle).
  7. Once cooking is complete, carefully remove the food using heat-resistant utensils.
  8. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

5.2 Control Panel Functions

The smart control panel features an LED screen and various buttons for precise cooking control:

  • Temperature Adjustment: Set temperature from 80°C to 230°C in 5-degree increments.
  • Time Adjustment: Set cooking time from 30 seconds to 60 minutes in 30-second increments.
  • Single/Dual Plate Heating: Choose to heat only the upper plate, only the lower plate, or both plates simultaneously. This is ideal for specific cooking needs or energy saving.

5.3 Specific Cooking Modes

5.3.1 Grill Mode (Contact Grill or Table Grill)

Use the ridged grill plates for searing meats, vegetables, or fish. For a contact grill, close the lid. For a table grill, open the appliance 180 degrees to use both plates as a flat cooking surface.

5.3.2 Waffle Maker Mode

Install the waffle plates. Pour waffle batter onto the lower plate, then close the lid. The adjustable hinge accommodates rising batter without crushing. Cook until golden brown.

5.3.3 Sandwich Maker / Panini Press Mode

Use the smooth or ridged grill plates. Place your sandwich or panini onto the lower plate. Close the lid, allowing the floating hinge to adjust to the thickness of your food, ensuring even cooking without flattening.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the cooking plates by pressing the release buttons and lifting them out.
  3. The cooking plates and drip tray are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  5. Never immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.

6.2 Storage

Ensure the appliance is clean and completely dry before storing. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging or a designated storage area.

7. Troubleshooting
