2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Observe all warnings and instructions to prevent injury or damage to the compressor. This compressor operates at high pressures and requires careful handling.

  • Never start the compressor without first activating its cooling fan. The cooling fan must run continuously during operation and for at least 5 minutes after the compressor is turned off to ensure proper cooling.
  • To prevent overheating, always operate the unit in a well-ventilated space.
  • If the compressor's temperature display reaches 48°C (118°F), immediately shut off the compressor and allow the cooling fan to run until the temperature drops. The maximum allowed temperature is 80°C (176°F).
  • This portable compressor is designed to fill airguns with an integral cylinder or buddy-bottle air source up to 0.5 liters (500cc) volume.
  • Many PCP airguns have a safe working pressure lower than 300 BAR (4500 PSI/30 MPa). DO NOT OVER-CHARGE your PCP airgun.
  • It is recommended to observe the needle position on both the compressor's pressure gauge and the PCP airgun's pressure gauge during the charging process.
  • The compressor is equipped with an 8mm FOSTER female connector, a safety valve, and a burst disc for safe operation. Ensure these components are in good condition before each use.

4.2 Air Hose Connection

Connect the air hose from the compressor's output to your PCP airgun or HPA tank. The compressor uses an 8mm FOSTER female connector, compatible with most PCP air rifles and paintball cylinders. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent air leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your TOAUTO A1X-PRO PCP Air Compressor.

  1. Ensure Proper Setup: Verify that the power source is correctly connected and the air hose is securely attached to your airgun/tank.
  2. Open Bleed Valve: Before starting, ensure the bleed valve on the compressor is closed.
  3. Start Cooling Fan: Once powered, the cooling fan should automatically start. If not, ensure the unit is receiving power. The fan must run before and during compressor operation.
  4. Start Compressor: Press the 'ON/OFF' switch to start the compressor. The A1X-PRO features a genuine one-button start.
  5. Monitor Pressure and Temperature: Continuously monitor the pressure gauges on both the compressor and your airgun/tank. Also, observe the compressor's temperature display.
  6. Manual Stop: The A1X-PRO is a manual stop version. Turn off the power switch immediately when the desired pressure is reached or when the pressure gauge is about to reach 30 MPa (4500 PSI). Do not overfill.
  7. Release Pressure: After stopping the compressor, open the air bleed screw on the front of the unit by turning it counter-clockwise to release residual pressure from the hose.
  8. Disconnect: Once pressure is released, disconnect the air hose from your airgun/tank.
  9. Cool Down: Allow the cooling fan to run for at least 5 minutes after the compressor is turned off to ensure adequate cooling of the unit.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor.

  • Cooling System: Ensure the cooling fan is free from obstructions and clean any dust or debris regularly to maintain efficient airflow.
  • Burst Disc Replacement: The burst disc is a safety feature designed to rupture if pressure exceeds safe limits. If the burst disc activates, it must be replaced before further use. Refer to the maintenance video for instructions.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the compressor clean and free from dirt and moisture.
  • Storage: Store the compressor in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
