Refer to the signal format image for details on which formats support both mirror and original images.

3. Displaying Reversing Guidelines

To activate the reversing guidelines on your monitor, locate the white wire loop on the camera cable and cut it. After cutting, ensure all wiring is disconnected from the product, then reconnect the monitor and restart it for the changes to take effect.

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure a clear view. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all connections and mounting points to ensure they are secure.
  • Waterproof: The camera has an IP69 waterproof rating, but avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the lens or connections.

Troubleshooting

  • No Image or Incorrect Display:

Ensure that the signal format of the camera (AHD 1080P/720P/NTSC/PAL) matches the input format supported by your monitor. Press the mode switch button for 3 seconds to cycle through formats. Also, check all cable connections for proper seating.

  • Screen Stopping Abruptly or Black Screen (Signal Interference):

Some vehicles, particularly German and American cars, may be prone to signal interference. If you experience issues like the screen stopping abruptly or a black screen, it is recommended to use a car camera filter (rectifier) to stabilize the signal. This component is not included with the camera.

Image: This section addresses signal interference issues, particularly in certain car models, which can lead to display problems. It suggests using an external car camera filter (rectifier) to resolve these issues.
  • No Reversing Guidelines:

Verify that the white wire loop on the camera cable has been cut. Remember to disconnect and reconnect all wiring, then restart your monitor after cutting the wire for the change to register.

  • Camera Not Compatible with Dash Cams or Mirror Cameras:

This rearview camera is designed for use with car monitors or navigation units with RCA connectors. It is not compatible with integrated car cameras (dash cams) or rearview mirrors with built-in cameras.
