Nilight 6 Way Fuse Relay Block with ACC Control

Model: 50224A

Instruction Manual

1. Product Overview

The Nilight 6 Way Fuse Relay Block is designed to provide multiple fused circuits for distributing electrical power from a single source to various branch circuits. This unit is ideal for powering lights and other electrical appliances in automotive, marine, and RV applications. It features an ACC (Accessory) control interface for automatic power cutoff, built-in relays, and LED indicators for easy troubleshooting.

This fuse block ensures that only the faulty circuit is interrupted in case of an electrical fault, preventing hazards and maintaining the operation of normal circuits.

2. Product Dimensions

Refer to the diagram below for detailed product dimensions.

Figure 2.1: Product Dimensions. Length 13cm (5.11"), Width 9cm (3.54"), Height 3.6cm (1.41"). Base dimensions 9.4cm (3.7") by 7cm (2.75"). Input Voltage: 12-24V, Max Total Input Current: 80 Amp, Single Output Max Current: 20 Amp.

3. Key Features

  • Integrated Relays: Each circuit includes a built-in relay, eliminating the need for additional external relays and simplifying wiring.
  • ACC Control: Features an ACC interface that automatically cuts off power when the vehicle's ignition is turned off, preventing battery drain.
  • LED Indicators: Blue LEDs indicate normal circuit operation, while red LEDs illuminate when a fuse is blown or disconnected, aiding in quick troubleshooting.
  • Waterproof Cover: A transparent plastic cover with a push-latch design provides splash and dust protection, extending the lifespan of the fuse box.
  • Easy Wiring: Designed with a negative terminal screw for each positive terminal screw, facilitating straightforward wire connections and organized circuit wiring.
  • Durable Construction: Made from ABS material with nickel-plated copper wire harnesses and fuse clips for corrosion resistance and good electrical conductivity.

4. Installation and Wiring

The Nilight 6 Way Fuse Relay Block is designed for easy installation with its pre-wired relay kit. Follow the general wiring guidelines below.

Figure 4.1: General Wiring Instruction. Connect the power supply to the BAT terminals, negative to ground, and individual appliance positive poles to the fused outputs. The ACC wire connects to a switched 12V source.

Wiring Steps:

  1. Power Input: Connect the main positive (BAT+) and negative (BAT-) wires from your 12V-24V DC power source (e.g., vehicle battery) to the corresponding terminals on the fuse block.
  2. ACC Control: Connect the ACC wire to a switched 12V source in your vehicle. This allows the fuse block to automatically power on/off with the ignition.
  3. Appliance Connections: For each electrical appliance (e.g., LED light bar, fog lights), connect its positive wire to one of the six fused output terminals. Connect the appliance's negative wire to a common ground point or the negative bus bar if available.
  4. Switches: Utilize the independent positive and negative pole switch wiring ports to control individual circuits. Small current from a switch can control the larger current through the relays.
  5. Secure Mounting: Mount the fuse block securely in a suitable location using the provided mounting holes.

Figure 4.3: ACC Controlled Fuse Block. Demonstrates how the ACC connection enables power control linked to the vehicle's ignition.

5. Operation

  • Power On: When the vehicle's ignition is turned on (and the ACC wire receives power), the fuse block will be powered, and the blue LED indicators for active circuits will light up.
  • Circuit Activation: Activate individual circuits using their respective switches.
  • Power Off: When the vehicle's ignition is turned off, the ACC control will automatically cut power to the fuse block, preventing unnecessary power consumption.

6. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Fuse Replacement:

The fuse block is equipped with LED indicators for easy troubleshooting. If a red LED lights up next to a fuse, it indicates that the fuse has blown or is disconnected.

Figure 6.1: Real-Time Monitoring with LED Indicators. Blue light indicates normal operation, red light indicates a blown or disconnected fuse.

  1. Identify the blown fuse by the illuminated red LED.
  2. Carefully open the transparent plastic cover.
  3. Remove the blown fuse using a fuse puller (not included) or appropriate tool.
  4. Replace it with a new fuse of the correct amperage rating. Refer to the included label stickers for circuit identification and fuse ratings.
  5. Close the transparent plastic cover securely to maintain its waterproof and dustproof properties.

Waterproof Cover:

The transparent cover is designed to protect the fuses and relays from splashes and dust. Ensure it is always securely latched after any maintenance to provide optimal protection.
