3. Important Safety Information
- This system is designed for standard water faucets only. It will not fit pull-out, hand-held, spray-style faucets, or faucets with sensors.
- Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
- Do not run water at a temperature higher than 100°F (38°C) through the filter.
- The mechanical reminder does not rotate automatically. You must manually set it to track the filter's lifespan.
- Only the WD-CFF-03 filter can be used with this system.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for a quick and easy installation:
- Check Faucet Compatibility:
Ensure your faucet is compatible with the system. It fits standard faucets with male threads (>0.72" and <0.86") or female threads (>0.80" and <0.94"). It does not fit pull-down, pull-out spring, or spray head faucets.

- Remove Faucet Aerator:
Unscrew and remove the existing aerator from your faucet. This may require a wrench or pliers if it's tight.
- Choose the Right Adapter:
Select the appropriate adapter (A3, A4, A5 for female threads; B3, B4 for male threads) that matches your faucet's threading. Use a coin to tighten the adapter if necessary. Ensure the washer is firmly installed between the faucet and the system.

- Connect the System:
Attach the outlet valve to the chosen adapter on your faucet. Then, connect the filter housing to the outlet valve. Tighten by hand.
- Position the System:
Place the water filter system in its proper position on your countertop.
- Flush the Filter:
Slowly turn on the cold water faucet. Flush the new filter for 3-5 minutes. Initially, a small amount of black water may appear due to activated carbon; this is normal. The water will clear after flushing.

6. Operating Instructions
The Waterdrop WD-CTF-06 system allows you to easily switch between filtered and unfiltered tap water.
- For Tap Water:
To get unfiltered tap water, switch the lever on the outlet valve to the downward direction. Water will flow directly from your home faucet.
- For Pure Water:
To get filtered pure water, switch the lever on the outlet valve to the level (horizontal) direction. Water will flow through the filter and out the attached faucet.

7. Maintenance and Filter Replacement
To ensure optimal performance and water quality, regular filter replacement is crucial.
Filter Lifespan:
The WD-CFF-03 filter has a lifespan of approximately 6 months or 4,000 gallons, whichever comes first. Actual lifespan may vary based on water quality and usage.
Using the Mechanical Filter Life Reminder:
Manually rotate the dial on top of the filter housing to the current month when you install a new filter. This will help you remember when to replace it.

Filter Replacement Steps:
- Turn off the water supply to the faucet.
- Place the system in the water sink.
- Unscrew the filter housing (A) from the base (C) by hand. There may be some residual water between the housing and the base.
- Remove the expired filter from the system.
- Insert the new WD-CFF-03 filter into the base (C), ensuring the sealing ring is installed firmly.
- Screw the filter housing (A) back onto the base (C) by hand and tighten it securely.
- Turn on the faucet and flush the new filter for 3-5 minutes to remove any carbon fines.
- Reset the mechanical filter life reminder to the current month.

8. Troubleshooting
