4. Setup and Configuration
After physical installation, proceed with the initial setup to configure your camera for optimal performance.
- Power Up: Ensure the camera is powered on using either PoE or the DC adapter.
- Initial Setup: Complete the initial setup by scanning the QR code using the Reolink App/Client or by directly accessing the camera through the NVR user interface.
- NVR Compatibility: For optimal performance and to utilize all smart features, it is recommended to use a compatible Reolink NVR. Compatible NVRs include those with hardware versions Hw_N5MB01, Hw_N6MB01, or Hw_N7MB01. If your NVR has hardware version Hw_H3MB18, Hw_N3MB01, or Hw_H2MB02, you may need to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Ensure the mainstream resolution is set to 4096*1536 for proper display; 7680*2160 resolution may not display successfully on some NVRs.

8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your REOLINK Duo 3V PoE camera.
8.1 Image Display Issues with NVR
If the image is not displaying successfully or appears distorted on your NVR, consider the following:
- NVR Compatibility: Ensure your Reolink NVR's hardware version is compatible (Hw_N5MB01, Hw_N6MB01, Hw_N7MB01). Older NVR versions (Hw_H3MB18, Hw_N3MB01, Hw_H2MB02) may require a firmware upgrade.
- Resolution Setting: Verify that the mainstream resolution setting on your NVR is set to 4096*1536. Higher resolutions like 7680*2160 may not be supported by all NVRs and can cause display issues.
- Third-Party NVR/Software: Compatibility with third-party NVRs or software is not guaranteed. For full functionality, use Reolink's dedicated systems.
8.2 Image Orientation (Upside Down)
If the camera image appears upside down, especially after ceiling mounting, check the camera's settings within the Reolink App or Client for an image flip/mirror option. While the camera supports manual physical rotation, software-based image orientation adjustment is typically available for digital correction.
8.3 No Pan & Tilt Support
The Duo 3V PoE model does not support motorized pan and tilt (PT) functions. The camera comes with a built-in rotation bracket that allows for manual adjustment of 360° horizontally and 57° vertically during installation. Once installed, its viewing angle is fixed unless manually re-adjusted.
