- Water Distribution Arm: Metal arm that dispenses hot water over the coffee grounds.
- Brew Basket: Holds the coffee filter and grounds. Designed to stop coffee flow when removed.

- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Clean: Wash the glass carafe, brew basket, and water reservoir lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.

Operating Instructions
- Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired level (max 10 cups / 1.25L).
- Insert Filter: Place a #4 paper filter into the brew basket.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Add your preferred amount of medium-ground coffee to the filter. A general guideline is 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 ounces of water.

Figure 3: The water distribution arm ensures even saturation of coffee grounds. - Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe is correctly positioned on the hotplate.
- Select Brew Volume: Use the brew-volume selector switch to choose between brewing a half or full carafe. This adjusts brewing speed and hotplate temperature for optimal results.

Figure 4: The power switch (left) and brew-volume selector switch (right). - Start Brewing: Flip the power switch to the "ON" position. The brewing process will begin, typically taking 4-6 minutes for a full carafe.
- Serve: Once brewing is complete, the hotplate will keep the coffee warm. The brew basket automatically stops the flow of coffee if the carafe is removed during brewing, allowing you to pour a cup before the cycle finishes.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning and descaling are essential for maintaining your coffee maker's performance and longevity.
Daily Cleaning:
- After each use, discard the used coffee filter and grounds.
- Wash the brew basket, water reservoir lid, and glass carafe with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe down the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
Descaling (Every 100 Pots or Quarterly):
To remove mineral buildup, descale your coffee maker regularly. Use a dedicated coffee machine descaling solution, not vinegar.
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution according to the product's instructions.
- Place an empty filter in the brew basket and the empty carafe on the hotplate.
- Run a full brewing cycle.
- After the cycle, discard the solution from the carafe.
- Run two full cycles with fresh water to rinse the system thoroughly.
Troubleshooting

|---|---|---|
| Coffee not brewing. | Power switch off, no water in reservoir, carafe not in place. | Ensure power switch is ON, fill water reservoir, correctly place carafe. |
| Coffee tastes weak. | Insufficient coffee grounds, coarse grind, incorrect water-to-coffee ratio. | Increase coffee grounds, use a finer grind, check recommended ratio. |
| Coffee tastes bitter. | Too many coffee grounds, fine grind, machine needs descaling. | Reduce coffee grounds, use a coarser grind, descale the machine. |
| Slow brewing. | Mineral buildup (scale) in the heating element. | Perform a descaling cycle. |
