Setup
Mounting the Bike Light
The Kiwi-1200 bike light supports both top and underneath handlebar installation while maintaining its anti-glare effect.

This image illustrates the two primary mounting positions for the Kiwi-1200 bike light: one showing it mounted on top of the handlebar, and the other showing it mounted underneath, demonstrating its versatile installation options.
1. Identify your preferred mounting position (top or underneath).
2. For underneath installation, you may need to adjust the mounting base. Refer to the detailed steps below.
Underneath Handlebar Installation Steps:
- Open the decorative cover with the straight screwdriver.
- As shown in the picture, remove the cover.
- Unscrew the base on the bottom of the light with the wrench.
- Screw the base on the top of the light (the original decorative cover position) and tighten the screw. (Do not use a torque wrench)
- Insert the decorative cover to the original bottom position of the base.
- Insert the light into the bracket; a "click" sound indicates secure mounting.

This series of six images provides a visual step-by-step guide for converting the bike light's mounting position to be underneath the handlebar, detailing the process of removing and reattaching components.
The mount is compatible with 25.8mm and 31.8mm handlebar pipe diameters.

- To quickly switch to High Steady Mode from any other working mode (except High Steady): Double press the power button within 0.4 seconds. Single press to return to the memorized mode.
Anti-Glare Cut-Off Beam
The Kiwi-1200 is equipped with an anti-glare cut-off beam design. This feature ensures that the light is directed downwards and forward, preventing the beam from blinding oncoming pedestrians and vehicles, thereby enhancing safety for everyone on the road.

This image visually compares the light distribution of the Kiwi-1200 with its precise cut-off beam, showing how it illuminates the path without causing glare to others, against an ordinary light that scatters light widely and can be blinding.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean the light's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or internal components.
Storage
When storing the light for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50-70%) to prolong its lifespan. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Waterproofing
The Kiwi-1200 has an IPX6 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against powerful water jets. It can confidently be used in rainy conditions and splashes. However, it is not designed for submersion. After exposure to water, wipe the light dry before charging.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- Light Not Turning On:
- Check battery level. Ensure the light is fully charged.
- Verify power button press duration. A long press (0.75s or 2s) is required.
- Light Output is Low or Flickering:
- Battery may be low. Recharge the light.
- Check for temperature control protection. The light may automatically switch to a lower mode if the temperature is too high (above 65°C) or too low (below -20°C).
- Charging Issues:
- Ensure the C-C cable is securely connected to both the light and the power source.
- Try a different C-C cable or power adapter.
- Verify the power source is functioning correctly.
Battery and Temperature Protection
The Kiwi-1200 incorporates multiple protection features for battery life and temperature control:
- Battery Protection: Includes constant current circuit, overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, and short circuit protection.
- Temperature Control Protection: If the temperature exceeds 65°C, the light automatically switches to Medium Steady mode and will not return to the memorized mode until the temperature drops below 55°C. If the temperature is above 90°C or below -20°C, the light will not exit protection mode until the temperature returns to normal. In extreme cases, Kiwi-1200 is forced to lock in Low Steady mode, and the battery indicator light flashes three times and then goes off for one second repeatedly.
