Model: VG370

1. Product Overview

The VEAGASO 80 Pint Dehumidifier is engineered for powerful and efficient moisture removal in large residential and commercial spaces. It is capable of extracting up to 80 pints of water per day under standard conditions (95°F, 90% RH), making it suitable for areas up to 5,500 square feet. This unit is designed to improve indoor air quality and comfort by effectively reducing humidity levels.

Ideal applications include basements, large rooms, homes, offices, bathrooms, bedrooms, garages, kitchens, storage rooms, living rooms, laundry rooms, cellars, and crawlspaces.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Placement

Place the dehumidifier on a level surface in the area where moisture control is needed. Ensure there is at least 8 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow. The unit is equipped with rolling casters and a convenient carry handle for easy mobility between different rooms or spaces.

2.2 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the unit's requirements.

2.3 Water Drainage Options

The VEAGASO dehumidifier offers two methods for water drainage:

  • Manual Drainage: The unit features a 4.5 L (1.32 gallon) water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and an indicator light will flash, signaling that the tank needs to be emptied. Simply slide out the tank, empty the collected water, and reinsert it.
  • Continuous Drainage: For extended operation without manual emptying, connect the included 6.56 ft drain hose to the continuous drainage outlet on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable floor drain or large bucket, ensuring the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.

3.2 Operating Modes

Press the 'MODE' button to cycle through the three available operating modes:

  • DEHU Mode (Dehumidification): In this mode, the dehumidifier will automatically start and stop based on your desired humidity level. The fan speed and target humidity are adjustable.
  • DRY Mode (Clothes Drying): This mode is designed for quickly and efficiently removing excess moisture, particularly useful for drying clothes. The unit operates continuously at a high fan speed. Humidity settings are not adjustable in this mode.
  • CONT Mode (Continuous Dehumidification): The dehumidifier operates continuously to reduce room humidity to its lowest possible levels. This mode is ideal for persistently damp spaces. The fan speed is adjustable, but humidity settings are not.

3.3 Humidity Control

In DEHU mode, press the 'HUMI' button to adjust the target humidity level. You can set the desired humidity between 30% and 80% Relative Humidity (RH) in 5% increments. The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached, then cycle off, restarting automatically if humidity rises.

3.4 Fan Speed Adjustment

Press the 'SPEED' button to toggle between high and low fan speeds. This option is available in DEHU and CONT modes.

3.5 Timer Function

Use the 'TIMER' button to set a delayed start or stop time for the dehumidifier. The timer can be set from 1 to 24 hours. Once the set time elapses, the unit will either turn on or off, depending on the initial setting.

3.6 Child Lock

To prevent unintentional changes to settings, press and hold the 'LOCK' button for 3 seconds to activate the child lock. This will disable all control panel buttons. Repeat the action to unlock the panel.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Filter Cleaning

The dehumidifier is equipped with a removable and washable filter located on the back of the unit. Regularly clean the filter to ensure optimal performance and extend the unit's lifespan. To clean, simply remove the filter, rinse it under running water, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

4.2 Water Tank Maintenance

Periodically clean the water tank to prevent mold or mildew growth. Remove the tank, wash it with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before placing it back into the unit.

4.3 Automatic Defrost Function

The unit features an automatic defrost function. If frost builds up on the evaporator coils in cooler environments, the compressor will cycle off while the fan continues to run, melting the ice. Once defrosted, the unit will resume normal dehumidification operation automatically.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VEAGASO dehumidifier, please refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the water tank is full and needs emptying. Verify that the ambient temperature and humidity are within the unit's operating range.
  • No Water Collection: Confirm the unit is in a dehumidification mode (DEHU or CONT) and the target humidity is set lower than the current room humidity. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Ensure the continuous drain hose (if used) is not kinked or blocked.
  • Unusual Noise: Check for any obstructions in the air inlet or outlet. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • Error Codes: If an error code appears on the digital display, consult the specific error code section in the full user manual (not provided here) or contact customer support for assistance.
