Setup and Assembly

1. Attach the Search Coil: Connect the search coil to the lower stem using the provided bolt and nut. Ensure it is securely fastened but allows for angle adjustment.
2. Assemble the Stem: Connect the lower stem to the middle stem, and the middle stem to the top stem (control box assembly). Use the cam locks to secure the sections.
3. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the control box and insert two 9V batteries, observing polarity.
4. Connect Cables: Route the search coil cable along the stem and plug it into the designated port on the control box. Secure the cable to prevent tangling.
5. Adjust Length: Adjust the stem length (39.3" to 51.3") to a comfortable height for operation. Use the cam locks to fix the desired length.
6. Adjust Armrest: Position the armrest for comfortable support of your forearm.
7. (Optional) Connect Headphones: Plug the headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the control box for private audio alerts.

Important Note: Remove the screen protector from the LCD display before first use for optimal clarity. The metal detector is designed for outdoor use; indoor environments may cause interference.

Operating Instructions

• Power Button (Red): Long press to turn the device ON/OFF.
• SENS Button: Adjusts sensitivity (5 levels). Higher sensitivity increases detection depth but may also increase interference.
• Light Button: Toggles the LCD backlight ON/OFF for visibility in low-light conditions.
• DISC Button: Activates discrimination mode to filter out unwanted metal types.
• MODE Button: Cycles through the 6 detection modes: ALL METAL, DISC, NOTCH, MEMORY, JEWELRY, PINPOINT.
• VOL Button: Adjusts the volume of audio alerts.
• PP Button: Pinpoint mode for precise location of detected targets.
• +/- Buttons: Used to adjust sensitivity, volume, or discrimination levels depending on the active mode.

Detection Modes

• ALL METAL Mode: Detects all types of metal.
• DISC Mode: Allows you to eliminate specific metal types from detection.
• NOTCH Mode: Selectively ignores certain ranges of metal types.
• MEMORY Mode: Detects only the memorized metal type.
• JEWELRY Mode: Optimized for locating jewelry items.
• PINPOINT Mode: Provides precise location of the target.

Basic Operation

1. Turn on the detector by long-pressing the Power button.
2. Select your desired detection mode using the MODE button.
3. Adjust sensitivity (SENS) and discrimination (DISC) as needed for your environment and target preferences.
4. Sweep the search coil slowly and steadily over the ground, keeping it parallel to the surface.
5. When a target is detected, the LCD display will show an icon indicating the probable metal type and a depth indicator. An audio alert will also sound.
6. Use PINPOINT mode to narrow down the exact location of the target before digging.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the search coil and stem with a damp cloth. Ensure the search coil is dry before storage. The control box is not waterproof; avoid exposing it to moisture.
• Battery Care: Remove batteries if the detector will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Storage: Store the metal detector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The adjustable stem allows for compact storage.
• Search Coil: The 10-inch search coil is IP68 waterproof, allowing for use in shallow water. However, the control box must remain dry.
