4. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport.
2. Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a flat, level surface in a room where the humidity is highest. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around all sides of the unit for proper airflow. Do not place it against a wall or furniture that could obstruct the air intake or exhaust.

5.2 Initial Operation

3. Use the Humidity Setting Buttons (+/-) to set your desired humidity level. A common comfortable range is 45-55% relative humidity.
4. Select your preferred Fan Speed.
5. The unit will begin operating and stop automatically once the desired humidity level is reached. It will restart if the humidity rises above the set level.

5.3 Continuous Drainage

For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, you can connect a drain hose (not always included) to the continuous drain outlet.

1. Locate the continuous drain outlet on the back or side of the unit.
2. Remove the rubber stopper (if present).
3. Attach a suitable drain hose (e.g., garden hose, PVC pipe) to the outlet, ensuring a secure connection.
4. Route the hose to a floor drain or a larger container, ensuring a downward slope for gravity drainage.
5. Ensure the water tank is properly installed even when using continuous drainage, as it may still be required for certain functions or as a backup.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Emptying the Water Tank

1. When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light (e.g., "Full" or "Bucket Full") will illuminate.
2. Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
3. Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain and empty the collected water.
4. Rinse the tank with clean water if necessary. Do not use harsh detergents.
5. Reinsert the empty water tank firmly into the dehumidifier. The unit will resume operation automatically.

6.2 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

1. Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Locate the air filter, usually behind a removable panel on the back or side of the unit.
3. Gently remove the filter.
4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstallation. Do not use a dishwasher or hot water.
5. Reinsert the dry filter into its slot and close the panel.

6.3 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
