3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your NerdMiner V2 Pro and connect it to your network.

1. Connect Power: Connect the NerdMiner V2 Pro to a power source using a USB-C cable. The device will power on and display a QR code and Wi-Fi configuration details.
2. Connect to NerdMiner Wi-Fi: On your computer or mobile phone, connect to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the NerdMiner.
   • SSID: NerdMinerAP
   • Password: MineYourCoins
   You can also scan the QR code displayed on the device screen to connect.
3. Configure Wi-Fi and Wallet: Once connected to the NerdMinerAP network, open a web browser. The device should automatically redirect you to the configuration page (or navigate to http://192.168.4.1 if needed).
   • Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.
   • Enter the password for your home Wi-Fi network.
   • Enter your Bitcoin wallet address where any mined Bitcoin will be sent.
   • The pool URL is typically set to public-pool.io by default.
4. Save and Reboot: After entering all required information, click "Save". Wait a few moments, then reboot the device. The NerdMiner V2 Pro will now attempt to connect to your home Wi-Fi and begin mining.

4. Operating Instructions

The NerdMiner V2 Pro features two buttons for basic control and display management.

• Upper Button:
  • Short Press: Toggles the on-screen display to show different mining statistics or information screens.
  • Long Press (7 seconds): Initiates a device reset. Use this if the device becomes unresponsive or requires a fresh start.
• Lower Button:
  • Short Press: Turns the screen off or on. This can help conserve power and extend screen life.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your NerdMiner V2 Pro, consider the following maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

• "0 Hashes" or Not Mining:

  • Ensure your internet connection is stable.
  • Perform a device reset by long-pressing the upper button for 7 seconds.
• Unable to Connect to NerdMinerAP Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure the device is powered on and broadcasting the "NerdMinerAP" network.
  • Double-check the password "MineYourCoins" for accuracy.
  • Try connecting from a different device (phone/computer).
• Screen Unresponsive or Frozen:
  • Try short-pressing the upper button to cycle through displays.
  • Perform a device reset by long-pressing the upper button for 7 seconds.
