4. Setup and Connection

The T16-C Leverless Arcade Stick is compatible with a wide range of platforms. Follow these steps to connect your device:

4.1 General Connection

1. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the port on the T16-C controller.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your gaming device (PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, Steam Deck, Raspberry Pi, MiSTer, Android).
3. The controller should be automatically recognized by most systems.

4.2 Platform-Specific Notes

• PC / Steam Deck / Raspberry Pi / MiSTer / Android: Typically plug-and-play. The default input mode is usually XInput.
• PS3 / Switch: The controller supports these platforms directly. You may need to select the appropriate input mode via the web configurator or hotkeys.
• PS4 / PS5: For PS4, the controller can run as an authenticated PS4 controller. For PS5, you will need to select 'Host USB' in the web configurator and insert a compatible USB dongle into the extension port on the product for authentication. Without proper authentication, PS4/PS5 modes may time out after 8 minutes.

4.3 Web Configuration Access

The T16-C features a web configurator for advanced settings and customization. To access it:

1. Method 1: Hold the 'Start' button while connecting the controller to your computer via USB. The OLED screen will indicate entry into web configuration mode.
2. Method 2: Connect the controller normally to your computer. Then, hold 'Start + X + Y' buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. The screen will freeze, indicating entry into web configuration mode.
3. Once in web configuration mode, open a web browser on your computer and navigate to http://192.168.7.1.

4.4 Input Mode Settings

You can change the input mode of the controller through the web configurator under 'Settings' -> 'Input Mode Settings'. This allows you to select the appropriate mode for your platform (e.g., XInput for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3/DirectInput, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, etc.).

7. Firmware Updates

7.1 How to Update Firmware

1. Visit the official CosmoxGaming support website (cosmoxgaming.com/support/) to download the latest GP2040-CE firmware and the 'flash_nuke' file.
2. Enter bootloader mode: Hold the bootloader button (usually a small button on the back, requiring a needle to press) while connecting the controller to your computer, or connect normally and hold 'Back + X + Y' for 5 seconds. A removable disk named 'RP1-RP2' will appear.
3. Drag the 'flash_nuke.uf2' file to the 'RP1-RP2' drive. This clears previous data. The drive will briefly disconnect and reconnect.
4. Drag the latest 'GP2040-CE_X.X.X_.uf2' firmware file to the 'RP1-RP2' drive. Wait for the copy to complete. The drive will disconnect, and the product will restart automatically with the new firmware.

8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your T16-C Leverless Arcade Stick, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the acrylic panels and buttons. For stubborn smudges, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
