Setup and Installation

Before you begin, ensure your door is prepared with the necessary bore holes and backset. This handleset is designed for doors 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick.

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure the door has standard bore holes and the correct backset. The adjustable backset feature allows for flexibility.
  2. Install Latch Bolt: Insert the latch bolt into the edge bore hole of the door. Secure it with screws. Ensure the bevel of the latch faces the door frame.
  3. Install Exterior Handleset: Position the exterior handleset (the part with the long handle) onto the door, aligning the spindle through the latch bolt. The adjustable throughbolt allows for precise alignment.

  • To Lock from Interior: Use the turn-button or lever on the interior knob/lever to engage the lock.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the handleset with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishing agents, as these can damage the oil rubbed bronze finish.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the keyway if the lock mechanism feels stiff. Do not use oil-based lubricants.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all screws for tightness and ensure the handleset operates smoothly. Tighten any loose screws as needed.
