Setup

Proper setup is crucial for the efficient operation of your portable air conditioner. Follow these steps for installation.

1. Unboxing and Component Identification

Before beginning installation, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The package includes the main unit, window panels (A and B), remote control, instruction manual, drain hose, hose connector, and exhaust hose.

2. Window Kit Installation

Assemble the window panels and install them in your window opening. Ensure the hose hole is not obstructed by the window frame. Use foam if needed to lift the panel. Secure the panels tightly.

3. Exhaust Hose Connection

Connect the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose, and the window kit adapter to the other end. Align the hose inlets with the slots on the air exhaust housing outlet of the unit. Ensure the hose is stretched as straight as possible to achieve the best heat dissipation.

Maintain at least 20 inches (50cm) of space between the air conditioner and walls for optimal airflow.

Operating Instructions

Your ZAFRO Portable Air Conditioner features an intuitive control panel and a remote control for easy operation.

1. Powering On/Off

Before plugging in, ensure the overload protection switch (RESET) on the plug is pressed. Press the "Power" button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off. Remember to open the front louvers before turning on the unit.

2. Mode Selection

Press the "Mode" button to cycle through the available modes: Cool, Dehumidifier, Fan, and Sleep.

• Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling.
• Dehumidifier Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air.
• Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling.
• Sleep Mode: Operates quietly with reduced screen brightness for comfortable sleep.

3. Temperature and Fan Speed Adjustment

Use the "Up" and "Down" buttons to adjust the desired temperature. Press the "Speed" button to select between high and low fan speeds.

4. Timer Function

Press the "Timer" button to set an automatic on/off time for the unit, up to 24 hours.

5. Child Lock

To activate or deactivate the child lock, press and hold the "Lock" button for 5 seconds. This prevents accidental changes to settings.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ZAFRO Portable Air Conditioner. WARNING: Make sure to turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing.

1. Air Filter Cleaning

The unit is equipped with removable and washable double-layer filters. It is highly recommended to clean the air filter every two weeks of operation to maintain efficiency and air quality.

• Remove both grills from the back of the unit.
• Rinse the air filter under running water.
• Let the filter dry completely before re-attaching to the main unit.

2. Drainage

The unit features a self-evaporating system, reducing the need for frequent manual drainage. However, in high humidity environments or when using Dehumidifier mode, manual drainage may be required.

• Manual Drainage: Unscrew the main drain outlet cap located at the bottom rear of the unit. Place a water container beneath the outlet to collect drained water.
• Continuous Drainage: For continuous drainage, unscrew the main drain outlet cap and connect the included drain hose. Lead the other end of the hose into a drain lower than the unit. This is recommended for Dry Mode or environments with 85%+ humidity.
