Setup

Unpacking and Assembly
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Attach the handle assembly to the main unit. Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely fastened.
- Assemble the grass collection bag.
- Install the grass collection bag or the mulching plug, depending on your desired operation.

Battery Charging
The Scheppach BC-MP430-X uses two 20V batteries (40V total power). Ensure both batteries are fully charged before use.
- Connect the dual charger to a suitable power outlet.
- Insert the 4 Ah batteries into the charging slots.
- The charger's indicator lights will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 1.5 hours.
Inserting Batteries and Safety Key
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert both charged batteries firmly into their respective slots.
- Insert the safety key into its designated slot. The mower will not operate without the safety key.
- Close the battery compartment cover.

Follow these steps for effective and safe operation of your lawn mower.
Adjusting Cutting Height
The cutting height can be centrally adjusted to 6 levels, from 25 mm to 75 mm.
- Ensure the mower is turned off and the safety key is removed.
- Locate the central cutting height adjustment lever.
- Move the lever to select the desired cutting height. Refer to the markings for specific measurements.

Operating Modes (Eco and Auto)
The control panel allows you to switch between 'Eco' and 'Auto' modes.
- Eco Mode: Provides lower rotation speed for maximum battery runtime, suitable for lighter mowing tasks.
- Auto Mode: The rotation speed automatically adjusts based on the load, providing optimal power for varying grass conditions.

Mowing Techniques
The mower offers 4-in-1 functionality: mowing, collecting, mulching, and edging.
- Mowing and Collecting: Attach the 50 L grass collection bag. Mow in overlapping rows for an even cut. The bag has a fill level indicator.
- Mulching: Insert the mulch plug into the discharge opening. This finely chops grass clippings and returns them to the lawn as natural fertilizer.
- Edging: The mower features lawn edge collectors on both sides, allowing for clean mowing close to borders and obstacles.
