5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your appliances.
5.1. Oven Cleaning (EB8016ED)
- Catalytic Cleaning: The oven features catalytic liners that absorb grease and dirt. During normal baking temperatures (approx. 200°C), these liners self-clean. For stubborn residues, run the oven at a high temperature (e.g., 250°C) for an hour.
- ConceptClean: This function assists in cleaning by loosening dirt with steam. Add water to the oven cavity and activate the ConceptClean program.
- Steam-Clean: Similar to ConceptClean, this uses steam to soften baked-on food residues, making them easier to wipe away.
- General Cleaning: For non-catalytic surfaces, use a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers.
5.2. Hob Cleaning (IH87704RL)
- Allow the hob to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the glass-ceramic surface with a damp cloth and a small amount of hob cleaner.
- For stubborn stains, use a specialized hob scraper.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, or steam cleaners.
6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues:
- Appliance not turning on: Check if the power cable is securely plugged in and if the circuit breaker has tripped.
- Oven not heating: Ensure the correct cooking function and temperature are selected. Check if the oven door is fully closed.
- Hob not heating: Ensure suitable cookware (magnetic base) is used for induction. Check if a cooking zone is selected and the power level is set.
- Error codes: If an error code appears on the display, consult the full user manual for specific meanings and solutions.
If the problem persists, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and contact KKT KOLBE customer support.
