Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for hygiene and the longevity of your breast pump. All parts that come into contact with breast milk are made from BPA-free, food-grade materials and are easy to clean.

1. Disassembly

After each use, carefully disassemble all parts that came into contact with breast milk: the breast shield, silicone insert, silicone valve, and milk collection cup. The main pump unit should not be disassembled or washed.

2. Cleaning

  • Rinse all disassembled parts immediately after use with cold water to remove milk residue.
  • Wash parts in warm, soapy water using a mild dish soap. Use a dedicated brush for breast pump parts.
  • Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove all soap residue.
  • Air dry on a clean drying rack or use a clean cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly or storage to prevent mold or bacterial growth.
  • The main pump unit can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge it in water.

3. Sterilization (Optional)

For additional sterilization, parts can be boiled for 5 minutes or sterilized using a steam sterilizer or microwave sterilizer bag. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your sterilizer.

4. Storage

Store clean and dry pump components in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust. Use the provided dust cap for the breast shield and the travel bag for convenient and hygienic storage when on the go.
