2. Setup
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Charge
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Before first use, fully charge your inkNoteX Color tablet using the provided USB-C cable and a compatible power adapter. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.
2.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button (located on the side of the device) for a few seconds until the Bigme logo appears.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off menu appears on the screen. Select 'Power Off'.
- To Restart: From the power-off menu, select 'Restart'.
- To Sleep/Wake: Briefly press the power button to put the device to sleep or wake it up.
2.3 Initial Setup Wizard

The Kaleido 3 E-Ink screen provides a comfortable reading experience, similar to paper. It supports various e-book formats including PDF, EPUB, TXT, Mobi, and audiobooks. Open your desired reading application and select a book to begin.

Refresh Modes
The inkNoteX Color offers four refresh modes to optimize your experience:
- HD: High definition, best for static images and detailed text.
- Regal: Balanced mode for general reading and browsing.
- Normal/Fast: Faster refresh for smoother scrolling.
- Extreme: Fastest refresh, ideal for quick browsing or video playback (with some ghosting).
Bigme's xRapid Super Refresh Technology minimizes ghosting and provides a fluid experience across all modes.
Front Lights
Adjust the front light intensity and color temperature (warm to cold) across 36 levels for comfortable reading in any lighting condition. Access these settings from the quick settings panel or display settings.
3.3 Note-Taking and Drawing
Utilize the included stylus for precise note-taking and drawing. The screen provides a paper-like texture for a natural writing feel. The stylus supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, allowing for varied line thickness and shading.
