4. Setup and Installation
Important: Professional installation is recommended for RO storage tank applications. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks. This tank is designed for under-sink installation.
4.1 Pre-Installation Check
- Inspect the tank for any visible damage.
- Verify the factory pre-charge pressure. The tank is pre-charged to approximately 6.5 psi. While the sealed air valve minimizes the need for checks, it's good practice to confirm.
- Ensure you have all necessary fittings and tools for connecting the tank to your existing Reverse Osmosis system.
4.2 Installation Steps
- Place the plastic tank stand on a flat, stable surface in the desired under-sink location.
- Carefully place the Neo-Pure ROT-3.2E storage tank onto the stand.
- Connect the stainless steel water connection at the top of the tank to your Reverse Osmosis system's output line. Use appropriate thread sealant (e.g., PTFE tape) to ensure a watertight seal. Do not overtighten.
- Once connected, slowly turn on the water supply to the RO system and check for leaks at all connection points.
- Allow the tank to fill completely. This may take several hours depending on your RO system's production rate.
- After the tank is full, flush the system by opening the RO faucet and allowing the tank to drain completely. Close the faucet and allow the tank to refill. This process helps to flush out any manufacturing residues.

5. Operation
The Neo-Pure ROT-3.2E storage tank operates automatically as part of your Reverse Osmosis system. When the RO system produces purified water, it flows into the tank, compressing the air bladder. When you open your RO faucet, the compressed air pushes the stored water out of the tank and through the faucet.
The tank has a holding volume of approximately 2 gallons at 40 PSI, despite its total volume of 3.2 gallons. This difference is due to the internal air bladder and operational pressure requirements of RO systems.
6. Maintenance
The Neo-Pure ROT-3.2E storage tank is designed to be largely maintenance-free. Its sealed brass air valve and o-ring sealed cap ensure a leak-free air chamber, eliminating the need for routine air precharge checks.
However, for optimal performance and water quality, it is recommended to:
- Inspect and Sanitize: Have the tank inspected and sanitized regularly by qualified service personnel, especially if the tank appears corroded or if water quality issues arise.
- System Maintenance: Follow the maintenance schedule for your overall Reverse Osmosis system, including filter changes, as this directly impacts the water stored in the tank.

7. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Reverse Osmosis system's water storage, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Low Water Pressure from Faucet:
- Check the pre-charge pressure of the tank. Although designed to be maintenance-free, a significant drop in pressure could indicate an issue.
- Ensure the shut-off valve on the tank is fully open.
- Verify that the RO system's filters and membrane are not clogged and are due for replacement.
- No Water from Faucet:
- Confirm the main water supply to the RO system is on.
- Check for any kinks or blockages in the water lines.
- Ensure the tank is not empty. Allow sufficient time for the RO system to fill the tank.
- Leaks:
- Immediately shut off the water supply to the RO system.
- Inspect all connections for loose fittings or damaged O-rings. Tighten connections as necessary, but do not overtighten.
- If a leak persists or originates from the tank body, contact customer support.
For persistent issues, consult a qualified service technician or contact Neo-Pure customer support.
