Setup

1. Adjusting Eyecups

If you do not wear eyeglasses or sunglasses, twist the eyecups counter-clockwise until they are in the fully extended position. This will position your eyes at the proper distance from the ocular lenses. If you wear eyeglasses or sunglasses, leave the eyecups in the down position to ensure your eyes are at the correct distance.

2. Interpupillary Distance Adjustment

The interpupillary distance (IPD) is the distance between the centers of your pupils. To set the correct IPD, hold the binoculars firmly with both hands and look through them. Move the two halves of the binoculars closer together or further apart until you see a single, clear circular field of view. Note this setting for future use.

3. Focusing

  1. Close your right eye and look through the left side of the binoculars with your left eye. Rotate the central focus wheel until the image is sharp.
  2. Close your left eye and look through the right side of the binoculars with your right eye. Rotate the diopter adjustment ring (located on the right eyepiece) until the image is sharp.
  3. Now, with both eyes open, the binoculars are adjusted for your vision. For subsequent focusing, simply use the central focus wheel.

Operating Instructions

General Use

Hold the binoculars steady and bring them to your eyes. Use the central focus wheel to adjust for clarity. The ergonomic design with non-slip rubber armor provides a secure and comfortable grip, even during extended use or in challenging conditions.

Waterproof and Fogproof Features

These binoculars are O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, making them IPX7 waterproof. This means they can withstand immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes without internal moisture ingress. This feature also prevents internal fogging due to rapid temperature changes or humidity, ensuring clear views in all weather conditions.

Maintenance

Cleaning Lenses

To clean the lenses, first gently brush away any dust or debris with a soft lens brush or the included microfiber cleaning cloth. Then, use a lens cleaning solution applied to the microfiber cloth (never directly to the lens) to wipe the lens surfaces in a circular motion. Avoid using abrasive cloths or excessive force, as this can scratch the lens coatings.

Storage

When not in use, store your binoculars in the provided carry case in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, which can damage the optical components and rubber armor.

Troubleshooting

  • Blurred Image: Ensure the central focus wheel and diopter adjustment are correctly set for your vision. Refer to the "Focusing" section.
  • Double Image: Adjust the interpupillary distance until a single, circular field of view is achieved. Refer to the "Interpupillary Distance Adjustment" section.
  • Internal Fogging: While the binoculars are fogproof, extreme conditions might temporarily affect external surfaces. If internal fogging occurs, ensure all caps are securely closed and allow the binoculars to accustom to the ambient temperature. If fogging persists, contact customer support.
  • Difficulty Adjusting: If any adjustment rings or wheels are stiff, do not force them. Contact customer support for assistance.
