3. Setup and Battery Installation

Before using the remote control, you must install batteries.

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) 1.5V AAA batteries. Batteries are not included with the product.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.

  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

4. Pairing Instructions

To enable full functionality, including voice control, you must pair the remote control with your Sony Smart TV. Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your Sony TV is powered on. If it is off, press the Power button on the remote to turn it on.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold the VOL- (Volume Down) button and the Microphone button for approximately 3 seconds.
  3. The remote will initiate the pairing process automatically in the background. No further on-screen setup is typically required.
  4. Once paired, you can use all functions, including voice control.
