1. Safety Information

  • Keep children and unauthorized persons away while operating the jump starter.
  • Use the jump starter only with the provided clamps and cables.
  • Do not jump start a frozen battery.
  • Ensure proper polarity connection: Red clamp to positive (+), Black clamp to negative (-). Reverse polarity can cause damage.
  • Do not allow the red and black clamps to touch each other.
  • Avoid prolonged use of the air compressor to prevent overheating. Allow it to cool down between uses.
  • Wear eye protection when operating the air compressor.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

2. Product Overview

The Katoroe Q17 is a multi-functional device designed to provide emergency jump-starting for vehicles, inflate tires, and charge portable electronic devices. It features a powerful jump starter, an integrated air compressor, a large digital display, and a multi-mode flashlight.

4. Charging the Katoroe Q17

Before first use, fully charge the Katoroe Q17. It is recommended to recharge the unit every 3-6 months to maintain battery health, even if not in use.

  1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the USB-C input port on the Katoroe Q17.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a USB wall adapter (not included) or a car charger.
  3. The digital display will show the charging status and battery percentage.
  4. Charging is complete when the display shows 100%.

A full charge typically takes several hours depending on the power source.

5. Jump Starting a Vehicle

Ensure the Katoroe Q17 is at least 50% charged before attempting to jump start a vehicle.

  1. Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories.
  2. Connect the Smart Battery Clamps:
    • Connect the RED (+) clamp to the vehicle's positive (+) battery terminal.
    • Connect the BLACK (-) clamp to the vehicle's negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. Connect to Katoroe Q17: Insert the smart clamp connector into the jump start port on the Katoroe Q17. The display will indicate readiness.
  4. Start the Vehicle: Once the indicator on the smart clamps is solid green, start your vehicle's engine.
  5. Remove Clamps: As soon as the engine starts, disconnect the smart clamp connector from the Katoroe Q17, then remove the BLACK (-) clamp, followed by the RED (+) clamp from the vehicle battery.

If the vehicle does not start after the first attempt, wait at least 30 seconds before trying again. Do not attempt more than 3 consecutive jump starts.

6. Using the Air Compressor

The Katoroe Q17 can inflate tires, sports equipment, and other inflatables up to 160 PSI.

  1. Connect the Air Hose: Screw the air hose onto the air compressor port on the Katoroe Q17.
  2. Attach to Item: Connect the other end of the air hose to the tire valve or appropriate nozzle adapter for your inflatable item.
  3. Power On and Set Pressure: Press the power button to turn on the unit. Use the 'Mode' button to select the desired unit (PSI, BAR, KPA, kg/cm²). Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the target pressure.
  4. Start Inflation: Press the air compressor button (usually indicated by a circle icon) to begin inflation. The compressor will automatically stop when the preset pressure is reached.
  5. Disconnect: Disconnect the air hose from the item and then from the Katoroe Q17.

Refer to your vehicle's manual or tire sidewall for recommended tire pressure. Do not overinflate.

7. Using the Power Bank Function

The Katoroe Q17 can charge various USB-powered devices using its QC 3.0 output ports.

  1. Connect your device's USB charging cable to one of the USB output ports on the Katoroe Q17.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to your electronic device.
  3. The Katoroe Q17 will automatically begin charging your device.

Ensure the Katoroe Q17 has sufficient battery charge to power your devices.

8. Using the Flashlight

The integrated LED flashlight provides illumination for various situations.

  • To turn on/off: Press and hold the flashlight button (usually indicated by a light bulb icon).
  • To cycle modes: Once on, short press the flashlight button to cycle through different modes (e.g., constant light, SOS, strobe).

9. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Katoroe Q17.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Recharging: Recharge the unit every 3-6 months to maintain battery health, even when not in use.
  • Battery Care: Do not disassemble the battery pack. Dispose of the unit according to local regulations.
