5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

Your CD player can be powered by AC electricity or batteries.

AC Power:

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off.
  2. Connect the provided AC power cable to the AC input on the back of the unit.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power cable into a standard wall outlet.

Battery Power:

This unit requires 6 x C-size batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 6 C-size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When operating on AC power, batteries are automatically disconnected. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

5.2 Initial Power On

Press the ⏻ (Power) button to turn on the unit. The LCD display will illuminate.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Selecting a Mode

Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: CD → FM Radio → USB.

6.2 CD Playback

This unit supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-MP3 formats.

  1. Lift the CD compartment lid.
  2. Place a CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment lid securely.
  4. Press the MODE button to select CD mode. The display will show "CD" and then the total number of tracks.
  5. Press the ►▮ (Play/Pause) button to start playback. The track number and elapsed time will be displayed.
  6. To pause, press ►▮ (Play/Pause). Press again to resume.
  7. To stop, press ■ (Stop).
  8. To skip tracks, press ►► (Next) or ◀◀ (Previous).
  9. To fast forward or rewind, press and hold ►► (Next) or ◀◀ (Previous) during playback.

6.3 FM Radio Operation

  1. Extend the FM antenna on the back of the unit for better reception.
  2. Press the MODE button to select FM Radio mode. The display will show the FM frequency.
  3. Automatic Scan: Press and hold the PROG/SCAN button. The radio will automatically scan and save available stations.
  4. Manual Tuning: Briefly press ►► (Next) or ◀◀ (Previous) to fine-tune the frequency.
  5. Preset Stations: Use the FOLDER+/MEM+ and FOLDER-/MEM- buttons to navigate through saved preset stations.

6.4 USB MP3 Playback

This unit supports MP3 files stored on a USB flash drive.

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the top of the unit.
  2. Press the MODE button to select USB mode. The display will show "USB" and then begin playing the first track.
  3. To play/pause, skip tracks, fast forward/rewind, use the same controls as for CD playback.
  4. To navigate folders on the USB drive, use the FOLDER+/MEM+ and FOLDER-/MEM- buttons.

6.5 Headphone Use

For private listening, connect 3.5mm stereo headphones to the headphone jack on the back of the unit. The internal speakers will automatically mute.

6.6 Volume Control

Press the + button to increase the volume and the - button to decrease the volume.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Unit
