2. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your NOVOO 14-in-1 USB C Docking Station.

2.1. Compatibility Check

Before connecting, ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports the necessary functions (Data, Power Delivery, and DisplayPort Alt Mode). Not all USB-C ports offer full functionality.

2.2. Connecting the Docking Station to Your Laptop

1. Connect the integrated USB-C cable from the docking station to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop.

2.3. Power Connection

1. For optimal performance and to charge your laptop, connect a 65W or above power supply (not included) to the PD100W USB-C charging port on the docking station.

2.4. Display Connections

The docking station supports multiple display outputs:

• DP Port: Supports up to 8K@30Hz or 4K@120Hz (Windows laptops with DP 1.4 DSC enabled).
• HDMI Ports (x2): Each supports up to 4K@60Hz.

Connect your monitors using appropriate DisplayPort or HDMI cables to the corresponding ports on the docking station.

3. Operating the Docking Station

3.1. Multi-Display Modes

The docking station supports various display configurations:

• Windows Systems: Supports Mirror Mode (A-AAA) and MST (Multi-Stream Transport) modes (A-BCD) for triple 4K@30Hz monitors. This allows for different content across multiple screens.
• macOS Systems: Supports Mirror Mode (A-AAA) or Single Extension (A-BBB). macOS does not support MST multi-monitor functionality.

3.2. Data Transfer

Utilize the USB 3.0 and USB C data ports for file transfers at speeds up to 5 Gbps. USB 2.0 ports provide 480 Mbps for compatible devices. SD and TF card slots allow direct access to memory card content.

3.3. Charging

The PD100W USB C port allows your laptop to receive up to 100W of power, ensuring continuous operation while using multiple peripherals.

3.4. Network and Audio

The Gigabit RJ45 port provides a reliable wired internet connection. The 3.5mm audio/mic port supports wired headphones or microphones for clear audio.

4. Maintenance

• Keep the docking station in a dry environment and avoid exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.

5. Troubleshooting

• Display Not Detected: Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Verify all cable connections are secure. For Windows, check display settings for proper configuration (Mirror, Extend, MST). For macOS, remember only Mirror or Single Extension is supported.
• No Power Delivery/Slow Charging: Confirm your power adapter is 65W or above and properly connected to the docking station's PD port.
• Intermittent Connections: Ensure all cables are fully inserted. Check for any physical damage to cables or ports.
• No Internet Connection via RJ45: Verify the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the docking station and your router/modem. Check your laptop's network settings.
