4.2 Switching Measurement Units (Yards/Meters)
To switch between yards (Y) and meters (M), long-press the Mode/Unit button (often labeled 'M') until the unit changes on the display.
4.3 Slope-Switch Measurement
The L8star PF9 PRO features a physical slope switch. Slide the switch to 'ON' to activate slope compensation, which adjusts the distance based on elevation changes. Slide to 'OFF' for tournament legal play, providing only the direct line-of-sight distance.

4.4 Flag Lock Technology with Pulse Vibration
This mode helps you accurately target flagpoles. While holding the power button, sweep the rangefinder back and forth across the flagpole. The device will emit a short vibration to confirm that it has locked onto the flag, not objects behind it. This mode supports distances up to 150 yards (flagpole only) and 250 yards (aiming at the flag when unfolded).

4.5 Continuous Scan Mode
For quick and continuous measurements, press and hold the power button. The rangefinder will continuously scan and display distances as you move it across different targets. This is useful for surveying a landscape or tracking moving objects.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and clarity, keep the lenses clean. Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the lens coatings.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the rangefinder in its protective carrying case in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods.
5.3 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, especially if it has been stored for a long time. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50%.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the Type-C cable and charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Inaccurate Readings: Check if the lens is clean. Ensure you are targeting a reflective surface. If using slope mode, verify the switch is in the correct position.
- Difficulty Focusing: Rotate the eyepiece focus ring until the image is clear.
- Flag Lock Not Working: Ensure the flagpole is within the specified range (150-250 yards). Sweep the device slowly across the target while holding the power button.
- No Vibration: Check if the device is properly locked onto the target. Ensure the battery is not critically low.
