2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Carefully remove the mixer from its packaging.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit.
- Ensure all accessories are present.
2.2 Power Connection
Connect the provided 5V DC power adapter to the USB power port on the rear of the mixer. Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The mixer will power on automatically.
2.3 Connecting Audio Inputs
The GX-06 offers multiple input options:
- MIC/LINE Inputs (CH1-CH4): Use XLR or 1/4-inch TRS cables to connect microphones (dynamic or condenser) or line-level instruments (e.g., guitars, keyboards).
- 48V Phantom Power: For condenser microphones, activate the +48V phantom power switch located above CH1. Ensure phantom power is only used when required by your microphone.
- Stereo Input (LINE 5/6): Use 1/4-inch TRS cables for stereo line-level sources.
- USB Input: Connect the mixer to a computer using a USB cable for audio input from the computer.
2.4 Connecting Audio Outputs
The mixer provides the following output connections:
- MAIN OUT: Use 1/4-inch TRS cables to connect to powered speakers, an amplifier, or a recording device.
- PHONES: Connect headphones to the 6.5mm headphone jack for monitoring. Adjust headphone volume using the 'PHONES VOLUME' knob.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Control Panel Overview
Refer to Figure 1.1 for a visual guide to the mixer's controls. Each channel (CH1-CH4) typically includes:
- GAIN: Adjusts the input sensitivity for the channel.
- HIGH/LOW (EQ): Treble and bass equalization controls for tone shaping.
- FX: Sends a portion of the channel's signal to the internal effects processor.
- CH Volume: Adjusts the individual channel's output level to the main mix.
Global controls include:
- Display: Shows current effect number or mode.
- Switch Knob: Navigates through menus or changes settings.
- Function Adjustment: Fine-tunes selected parameters.
- Reverb Knob: Adjusts the overall level of the reverb effect.
- USB Knob: Controls the volume of the USB input/output.
- MAIN Fader: Controls the overall output volume of the mixer.
3.2 Bluetooth Wireless Connection
- Ensure the mixer is powered on.
- Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android smartphone).
- Search for available Bluetooth devices and select "GX-06" or a similar identifier.
- Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the mixer.
3.3 USB Recording and Playback
The USB port allows for direct connection to a computer for recording and playback. It also supports USB flash drives for MP3 playback.
- Recording: Connect the mixer to your computer via USB. The mixer should be recognized as an audio input device. Use your preferred digital audio workstation (DAW) or recording software to capture the mixer's output.
- Playback: Audio from a connected computer or USB flash drive can be played through the mixer. Use the built-in controls (play/pause, skip tracks) and the USB knob to manage playback and volume.
3.4 48V Phantom Power
The mixer provides 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. To activate, press the +48V switch located above Channel 1. Ensure this is only enabled when using condenser microphones that require it. Disable it when using dynamic microphones or line-level inputs to prevent potential damage.
3.5 DSP Reverb Effects
The GX-06 includes 99 DSP reverb effects. To apply effects:
- Use the Switch Knob to browse through the available effects displayed on the screen.
- Press the Switch Knob to select an effect.
- Adjust the FX knob on individual channels to send signal to the effects processor.
- Use the global Reverb Knob to control the overall wet/dry mix of the effects.
3.6 Ear Monitoring
Connect headphones to the 6.5mm PHONES jack to monitor your audio mix in real-time. Adjust the 'PHONES VOLUME' knob to set a comfortable listening level. This allows for precise sound feedback and adjustments during live performances or recording sessions.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Disconnect the mixer from power before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior.
- For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the unit.
4.2 Storage
- Store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for an extended period, consider using the original packaging or a protective case to prevent dust accumulation and physical damage.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Yamnweo GX-06 mixer, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
5.1 No Sound Output
- Check Power: Ensure the mixer is properly powered on and the power indicator light is active.
- Volume Levels: Verify that all channel volume knobs, the MAIN fader, and the PHONES volume knob are turned up to an audible level.
- Connections: Confirm that all audio cables (inputs and outputs) are securely connected.
- External Devices: Check the volume and power of any connected speakers, headphones, or recording devices.
5.2 Microphone Not Working
- Cable Check: Ensure the microphone cable is fully inserted into the correct input jack.
- 48V Phantom Power: If using a condenser microphone, ensure the +48V phantom power switch is engaged. For dynamic microphones, ensure it is disengaged.
- Gain Setting: Adjust the GAIN knob for the microphone channel.
- Microphone Functionality: Test the microphone with another device if possible to rule out a faulty microphone.
5.3 USB Connection or Recording Issues
- Cable Integrity: Use a high-quality USB cable and ensure it is securely connected to both the mixer and the computer.
- Driver Installation: While often plug-and-play, some systems may require specific drivers. Check the manufacturer's website if issues persist.
- Computer Recognition: Verify that your computer's operating system recognizes the GX-06 as an audio input/output device. Check sound settings.
- Software Settings: Ensure your recording software (DAW) is configured to use the GX-06 as its input/output device.
- USB Output Functionality: If experiencing issues with USB as an output, ensure the mixer's internal routing is correctly set for USB output, and check the USB knob level.
5.4 Bluetooth Pairing Failure
- Mixer Mode: Ensure the mixer is in Bluetooth mode (if applicable, check display).
- Device Visibility: Make sure your mobile device's Bluetooth is on and discoverable.
- Distance: Keep the Bluetooth device within a reasonable range of the mixer.
- Interference: Minimize potential interference from other wireless devices.
5.5 Poor Sound Quality
- Input Levels: Adjust GAIN knobs to prevent clipping (distortion) or signals that are too low. The CLIP indicator lights should only flash occasionally.
- Equalization: Adjust HIGH and LOW EQ knobs to refine the tone.
- Cable Quality: Poor quality or damaged cables can introduce noise. Try swapping cables.
- Ground Loops: If you hear a hum, it might be a ground loop. Ensure all equipment is plugged into the same power strip or try a ground loop isolator.
