4. Operating Modes

The Husgw 12V 10A Battery Charger offers six distinct modes to optimize charging for various battery types:

  • CAR MODE: For standard 12V lead-acid car batteries.
  • AGM MODE: Specifically for 12V AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries.
  • MOTO MODE: For 12V lead-acid motorcycle batteries.
  • LiFePO4 MODE: For 12V Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.
  • REPAIR MODE: For desulfating and restoring deeply discharged or sulfated lead-acid batteries. (See Maintenance section for details)
  • REVERSE: Indicates reverse polarity connection. The charger will not operate in this state.

Intelligent Detection & Temperature Compensation

The charger automatically detects the battery's power level and stops charging when full. It also features intelligent temperature compensation, adjusting charging voltage and current based on seasonal temperature changes (e.g., winter and summer modes) to ensure efficient and safe charging in any climate.

5. Maintenance and Repair Function

The REPAIR mode is designed to help restore performance to certain lead-acid batteries that have experienced issues such as poor starting force, reduced endurance, or prolonged idle time leading to sulfation.

Using Repair Mode

To use the repair function, connect the charger to the battery as described in the Setup section, then select 'REPAIR MODE' using the mode button. The charger will initiate a pulse repair process.

Important Notes on Repair Mode:

  • The repair function cannot activate a completely dead battery (e.g., below 4V).
  • It cannot repair severely damaged batteries or restore a 100% new battery condition.
  • Results may vary depending on the battery's condition and age.
