4. Setup
4.1 Battery Charging and Installation
Before first use, fully charge the drone battery and the remote controller. The drone battery supports fast charging for quicker turnaround times.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the drone battery and a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
- Charge the remote controller using its dedicated charging port and cable.
- Once fully charged, insert the drone battery into the drone until it clicks securely into place.

4.2 Propeller Installation
Attach the propellers according to the markings on the drone arms and propellers. Ensure they are securely fastened using the provided screwdriver.
4.3 Remote Controller Setup
Install your mobile device onto the remote controller holder. Use the provided connection cables to link your mobile device to the remote controller for live video feed and advanced controls via the Holy Stone Sirius app.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pre-Flight Checklist
- Ensure drone and remote controller batteries are fully charged.
- Check that propellers are correctly installed and free from damage.
- Verify that the camera gimbal is unobstructed.
- Ensure you are in an open area, away from obstacles, people, and electromagnetic interference.
- Confirm GPS signal acquisition before takeoff for stable flight and RTH functions.

5.2 Basic Flight Controls
Refer to the Holy Stone Sirius app for detailed joystick configurations. Generally, the left joystick controls altitude and yaw, while the right joystick controls forward/backward and left/right movement.
5.3 Takeoff and Landing
- Automatic Takeoff: Press the one-key takeoff button on the remote controller or in the app. The drone will ascend to a safe height and hover.
- Automatic Landing: Press the one-key landing button. The drone will descend and land automatically.
- Manual Control: For experienced pilots, manual takeoff and landing can be performed using the joysticks.
5.4 Camera Operation
The HS900 features a 4K camera with a 1/2.3'' SONY CMOS sensor, capable of 48MP photos and 4K/30FPS video. The 3-axis brushless gimbal ensures stable and smooth footage.
- Use the dedicated buttons on the remote controller or the app interface to capture photos and start/stop video recording.
- Adjust camera tilt via the remote controller's gimbal dial.

5.5 Intelligent Flight Modes (QuickShots)
The Holy Stone Sirius app offers various QuickShots for creative aerial photography and videography:
- Image Tracking: The drone automatically follows a selected subject.
- Circular Flight: The drone flies in a circle around a designated point.
- One-Key Ascent: Automatic vertical ascent for dramatic shots.
- Catapult: The drone flies forward quickly from its current position.
- Time-lapse: Captures a series of photos over time to create a time-lapse video.
- Cruise Mode: Allows the drone to fly in a set direction without continuous joystick input.

5.6 GPS and Return to Home (RTH)
The updated GPS positioning system ensures accurate visual tracking and stable flight. RTH functions provide added safety:
- Smart RTH: Initiated manually by the pilot.
- Failsafe RTH: Automatically activated if the drone loses connection with the remote controller.
- Low Battery RTH: Automatically activated when the drone's battery level is critically low.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the drone body, camera lens, and propellers with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquids or solvents that could damage components.
6.2 Battery Care and Storage
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
- If storing for extended periods, charge batteries to approximately 50-60% capacity.
6.3 Propeller Inspection
Inspect propellers before each flight for any cracks, bends, or damage. Replace damaged propellers immediately to ensure safe and stable flight.
6.4 Firmware Updates (OTA)
The HS900 supports Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates. Regularly check the Holy Stone Sirius app for available updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

7. Safety Guidelines

- Flight Environment: Fly in open areas, away from buildings, trees, power lines, and crowds. Avoid flying in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.

8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Drone Does Not Power On
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly installed.
- Press and hold the power button for the specified duration to turn on.
8.2 Unable to Connect to Remote Controller
- Ensure both the drone and remote controller are powered on.
- Follow the pairing instructions in the Holy Stone Sirius app.
- Check for any interference in the environment.
8.3 Poor Image/Video Quality
- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure the gimbal is functioning correctly and not obstructed.
- Check for strong electromagnetic interference.
8.4 Unstable Flight
