Optimal Solar Panel Placement

For maximum charging efficiency and performance, consider the following:

  • Direct Sunlight: Install the light in a location that receives 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
  • Avoid Shade: Ensure no trees, buildings, or other obstructions shade the solar panel, especially during peak sunlight hours.
  • Initial Charge: For optimal performance, it is recommended to place the lamp in direct sunlight for 2 days before its first use.
  • Testing: To test the lights during the day, cover the solar panels with your hand or a non-transparent object.
  • Street Light Interference: Avoid installing the light beneath utility or street lights, as the light falling on the solar panel can confuse the system, causing the lamp to remain off, mistakenly perceiving it as daytime.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The hardoll 600W Solar Street Light features a replaceable 30000mAh 3.2V LiFePo4 battery. If the light's performance diminishes over time, the battery may need replacement. Consult the video below for detailed instructions on how to safely replace the battery.

General Care

  • Clean Solar Panel: Regularly clean the solar panel surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures optimal sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the light fixture, mounting arm, and wiring for any signs of damage or wear. Address any issues promptly to maintain performance and safety.
  • Environmental Protection: The light is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance. However, extreme weather conditions may require additional inspection.

Troubleshooting

If your hardoll Solar Street Light is not functioning as expected, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:

  • Light does not turn on at night:
    • Ensure the solar panel is receiving adequate direct sunlight (6-8 hours daily) and is not obstructed by shade.
    • Verify the light is not installed under another light source (e.g., street light) that might prevent its automatic activation.
    • Check if the remote control battery is functional and the light is not manually turned off.
    • Allow for initial charging (2 days in direct sunlight) if it's the first use.
  • Light is dim or runs for a short duration:
    • Clean the solar panel surface to remove any dirt or dust that may be hindering charging.
    • Ensure the light is placed in an area with maximum direct sunlight exposure.
    • The battery may be aging and require replacement (refer to the Battery Replacement section).
  • Remote control is not working:
    • Replace the battery in the remote control.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the light's sensor.
