Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended for safety and optimal performance. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding.
1. Pre-Installation Checks
- Identify the mounting location and ensure it can support the fan's weight.
- Determine the appropriate downrod length for your ceiling height. The fan supports 4-inch and 10-inch downrods, and can be installed on sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees.

Figure 1: Fan dimensions and downrod options for various ceiling types. The fan measures 60 inches in diameter and 13.9 inches in height with the standard downrod. It includes both 4-inch and 10-inch downrods for flexible installation on low, high, or sloped ceilings (up to 15 degrees).
2. Mounting the Fan
- Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling outlet box using the provided screws.
- Secure the chosen downrod to the motor housing assembly.
- Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it from the mounting bracket hook.
3. Wiring
- Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram in the manual. Ensure all connections are secure with wire nuts.
- Note: Some users have reported that the wiring for the 10-inch downrod can be barely long enough. Ensure connections are made carefully.
4. Attaching Blades and Light Kit
- Attach the five fan blades to the motor housing using the blade brackets and screws.
- Connect the LED light kit to the fan's wiring. Ensure the light connection cover is removed before plugging in.
- Secure the light kit to the fan assembly.
Operating Instructions
Your IHomeAdore ceiling fan is controlled by a multi-functional remote control.

Fan Speed Adjustment
The fan features 6 adjustable wind speeds to suit various environments and preferences.
- Speeds 1-2: Ideal for rest and quiet environments.
- Speeds 3-4: Suitable for recreation or general comfort.
- Speeds 5-6: Provides strong airflow for active use or rapid cooling.

Figure 3: Recommended fan speed settings for different activities.
Light Control
The integrated LED light offers adjustable color temperature and brightness.
- 3 Color Temperatures: Switch between Warm (3000K), Natural (4000K), and Cool (5700K) light settings.
- Infinitely Dimmable: Adjust brightness from 5% to 100% using the remote control.

Reversible Motor Function
The reversible DC motor allows for year-round use, optimizing air circulation for both cooling and warming.
- Summer Mode (Counter-clockwise): Creates a downward airflow, producing a cooling effect.
- Winter Mode (Clockwise): Creates an upward airflow, circulating warm air trapped near the ceiling.

Timer Function
Set the fan to automatically shut off after a specified period (e.g., 30 minutes or 2 hours) using the remote control.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ceiling fan.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan blades and motor housing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Blade Care: Periodically check that all blade screws are tight. Loose blades can cause wobbling and noise.
- Dusting: Dust the fan regularly to prevent buildup, which can affect performance and appearance.
- No Lubrication Needed: The DC motor is permanently lubricated and does not require additional oiling.
Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, review the following common issues and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fan does not start | No power to the fan; Loose wire connections; Remote control battery low. | Check circuit breaker; Ensure all wiring is secure; Replace remote control batteries. |
| Light does not work | No power to the light; Loose wire connections; Integrated LED failure. | Check circuit breaker; Ensure light kit wiring is secure; Contact customer support for LED failure. |
| Fan wobbles | Loose blade screws; Unbalanced blades; Loose mounting bracket. | Tighten all blade screws; Use the balancing kit (if included) to balance blades; Ensure mounting bracket is securely fastened. |
| Remote control not working | Battery low or incorrectly installed; Remote not paired with fan. | Replace batteries, ensuring correct polarity; Refer to remote pairing instructions (usually involves turning power off/on and pressing a button on the remote within a few seconds). |
| Noise from fan | Loose screws; Blades hitting an obstruction; Motor hum. | Check and tighten all screws; Ensure no obstructions are near blades; DC motors are generally quiet (below 30dB), but slight hum is normal. |
