Setup

1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment located at the bottom of the handle. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
2. Power On: Press the measurement trigger button to turn on the thermometer. The LCD screen will light up, indicating it's ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Forehead Temperature

1. Ensure the thermometer is in Forehead Mode (indicated by a head icon on the display). If not, press the 'Mode' button to switch.
2. Hold the thermometer approximately 0.2-1.5 inches (0.5-3.8 cm) from the center of the forehead.
3. Press the measurement trigger button. The temperature reading will appear on the LCD screen within 1 second.
4. The screen color will indicate the temperature range:
   • Green: Normal temperature (e.g., 89.6°F - 99.2°F)
   • Orange: Low fever (e.g., 99.3°F - 100.3°F)
   • Red: High fever (e.g., 100.4°F - 109.2°F)

Measuring Object/Room Temperature

1. Press the 'Mode' button until the display shows the object/room icon.
2. Point the thermometer at the object or area you wish to measure.
3. Press the measurement trigger button to get the reading.

Switching Temperature Units (°F/°C)

Press the 'F/°C' button on the side of the thermometer to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius units.
