Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your MADETEC Dehumidifier. This compact and portable dehumidifier is designed to reduce excess moisture in small to medium-sized spaces, such as bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, basements, garages, and RVs, covering areas up to 350 square feet (2500 cubic feet).

The dehumidifier utilizes advanced thermoelectric Peltier technology to effectively remove up to 450ml (34oz) of moisture per day, helping to maintain a comfortable humidity level below 45% and prevent issues related to dampness.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow. Avoid placing it directly against walls or furniture.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

Working Modes:

The dehumidifier supports two distinct working modes:

To switch between modes, refer to the specific button on your control panel, often labeled "Mode" or integrated with the power button for sequential presses.

7-Color LED Lights:

The dehumidifier features integrated LED lights that can be customized.

Auto Shut-off Function:

For safety and convenience, the dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature.

Maintenance

Emptying the Water Tank:

  1. When the water tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off, and the indicator light will flash red.
  2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the bottom of the unit. The tank has a visible groove for easy pulling.
  3. Remove the lid from the water tank and pour out the collected water.
  4. Replace the lid securely and slide the empty water tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation automatically.

Cleaning the Unit:

Cleaning the Removable Filter:

The dehumidifier is equipped with a removable filter to block dust and ensure fresh air output.

  1. Locate the removable filter behind the rear grille of the unit.
  2. Gently pull out the filter.
  3. Clean the filter with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove accumulated dust. For heavier dirt, rinse with lukewarm water (no soap) and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
  4. Reinsert the dry filter back into its slot.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your dehumidifier, please refer to the following common problems and solutions before contacting customer service.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Dehumidifier does not turn on. No power supply; Water tank is full or not properly inserted. Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet. Empty and reinsert the water tank correctly.
No water collected or low dehumidification. Room humidity is too low; Air inlet/outlet blocked; Temperature is too low; Filter is dirty. Ensure room humidity is above 45% RH. Clear any obstructions from air vents. Operate in temperatures between 59-95°F (15-35°C). Clean the air filter.
Unit is noisy. Unit is not on a level surface; Air filter is dirty. Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Clean the air filter. If noise persists, ensure no internal components are loose.
Red light flashing. Water tank is full. Empty the water tank and reinsert it properly.
