Setup

1. Unboxing and Contents

Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Verify that all components are present:

• IROK ZN84 Mechanical Keyboard
• Keycap Puller
• USB Cable (Type-C)
• AAA Batteries (for wireless mode)

2. Powering On

For wireless operation, insert two AAA batteries into the designated battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard. Ensure correct polarity. For wired operation, connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard and your computer.

3. Connecting Your Keyboard

The IROK ZN84 supports three connection modes: Bluetooth (BT5.0), 2.4GHz Wireless, and USB-C Wired.

USB-C Wired Connection:

1. Locate the USB-C port on the keyboard.
2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use. Note: RGB backlight is fully functional in wired mode.

2.4GHz Wireless Connection:

1. Ensure AAA batteries are installed.
2. Locate the 2.4G wireless receiver (dongle) usually found in a slot on the keyboard or packaging.
3. Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
4. Switch the mode selector switch on the keyboard to the '2.4G' position.
5. The keyboard should connect automatically.

Bluetooth (BT5.0) Connection:

1. Ensure AAA batteries are installed.
2. Switch the mode selector switch on the keyboard to the 'BT' position.
3. On your computer or device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
4. Select 'IROK ZN84' (or similar name) from the list of available devices to pair.
5. The keyboard can connect to up to 3 Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Use specific key combinations (refer to keyboard legends or quick guide) to switch between paired devices.

Important Note: The RGB backlight only functions when the keyboard is connected via wired (USB-C) mode. It is not available in Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless modes to conserve battery life.

Operating Instructions

1. System Switching (Mac/Windows)

The keyboard supports one-click conversion between Mac and Windows operating systems. Refer to the keyboard's key legends for the specific key combination (e.g., Fn + A/S) to switch modes.

2. RGB Backlight Control

As noted, RGB backlight is available only in wired mode. The keyboard is equipped with an independent RGB control chip, allowing you to switch between over a dozen lighting modes without requiring additional drivers or software.

Use the designated function keys (e.g., Fn + F-keys or specific lighting control keys) to cycle through different lighting effects, adjust brightness, and change colors. Consult the quick start guide or keycap legends for specific commands.

3. Hot-Swappable Switches

The IROK ZN84 features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. This feature supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, enabling full customization of your typing feel.

To replace a switch:

1. Gently pull off the keycap using the provided keycap puller.
2. Use a switch puller (not included, but often comes with replacement switches) to carefully remove the switch from its socket.
3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
4. Re-attach the keycap.

4. Internal Structure and Acoustics

The keyboard incorporates a unique multi-layered sound-absorbing structure, including acoustic silicone pads, to minimize hollow sounds and provide a more solid and clean typing experience.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To maintain your keyboard's appearance and functionality:

• Disconnect the keyboard from power before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and chassis.
• For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air or a small brush.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

2. Keycap and Switch Care
