4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Eureka NEY100 spot cleaner before first use.
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Attach the Hose: Ensure the cleaning hose is securely attached to the main unit. The hose is designed to wrap around the base for compact storage.
- Fill the Clean Water Tank: Remove the 1.5 L clean water tank from the unit. Fill it with warm tap water up to the MAX fill line. For enhanced cleaning and a fresh scent, add the recommended amount of Eureka Spot Clean solution as indicated on the solution bottle. Reinsert the tank securely into the unit.
- Ensure Dirty Water Tank is Empty: Verify that the 0.8 L dirty water tank is empty and properly seated in its compartment.
- Plug In: Extend the 4.9 m power cord and plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
The Eureka NEY100 utilizes a triple-action cleaning process: spray, scrub, and suction.
- Prepare the Area: Before cleaning, vacuum the area to remove any loose dirt or debris.
- Power On: Press the power button located on the unit to turn on the spot cleaner.
- Spray Solution: Hold the cleaning nozzle directly over the stained area. Press the spray trigger on the nozzle handle to release the cleaning solution onto the fabric. Allow the solution to penetrate the stain for a few seconds.
- Scrub the Stain: Gently scrub the stained area with the integrated brush on the nozzle. For stubborn stains, you may need to apply more pressure or repeat the spraying and scrubbing steps.
- Suction Dirty Water: Release the spray trigger and press the nozzle firmly against the surface. Slowly pull the nozzle across the wet area to suction up the dirty water and cleaning solution. Repeat this step until no more dirty water is being extracted and the area is as dry as possible.
- Repeat if Necessary: For heavily soiled areas, repeat the spray, scrub, and suction process until the stain is removed.
- Cleaning Hard-to-Reach Areas: The 1.7m hose and 4.9m cord allow for easy access to stairs, car interiors, and other confined spaces.
- Power Off: Once cleaning is complete, press the power button to turn off the unit and unplug it from the outlet.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Eureka NEY100 spot cleaner.
After Each Use:
- Empty and Rinse Dirty Water Tank: Remove the dirty water tank, empty its contents, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow it to air dry before reinserting.
- Rinse Clean Water Tank: If any solution remains, empty and rinse the clean water tank.
- Clean the Nozzle and Hose: Rinse the cleaning nozzle and the inside of the hose with clean water to prevent clogs and odors. You can do this by suctioning clean water through the hose.
