5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The battery pack is not fully charged upon purchase. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.

  1. Remove the battery pack from the drill by pressing the release buttons on the sides of the battery and sliding it out.
  2. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
  3. Insert the battery pack into the charger. The charging indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger and unplug the charger from the outlet.

5.2 Installing/Removing the Battery Pack

  • To Install: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
  • To Remove: Press the battery release buttons on both sides of the battery pack and pull the battery out from the drill handle.

5.3 Attaching Drill Bits and Accessories

The drill features a 10mm (3/8 inch) keyless chuck for quick bit changes.

  1. Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws are open wide enough to insert the desired bit or accessory.
  2. Insert the bit fully into the chuck.
  3. Rotate the chuck clockwise until the bit is securely tightened. Ensure the bit is centered and firmly gripped to prevent slippage during operation.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off and Speed Control

The drill is activated by pressing the trigger switch. The speed is variable and controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger. Pressing lightly results in lower speed, while pressing fully increases the speed.

6.2 Adjusting Torque Settings

The torque setting ring is located behind the chuck. Rotate the ring to select the desired torque level from 1 to 25. For drilling, select the drill symbol (marked '+1' or drill icon) for maximum torque.

  • Lower Torque Settings (1-5): Suitable for small screws and soft materials.
  • Medium Torque Settings (6-15): For medium screws and materials like wood or plastic.
  • Higher Torque Settings (16-25): For larger screws and harder materials.
  • Drill Mode (Drill Symbol): For all drilling applications, providing full power without clutch engagement.

6.3 Changing Speed Gear

A two-speed gear selector switch is located on top of the drill. Slide the switch to select between:

  • Gear 1 (Low Speed): 0-450 RPM, ideal for high-torque screwdriving and larger drilling diameters.
  • Gear 2 (High Speed): 0-1400 RPM, suitable for fast drilling and smaller drilling diameters.

Always ensure the drill has come to a complete stop before changing the speed gear.

6.4 Forward/Reverse Rotation

The forward/reverse selector switch is located above the trigger. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (for drilling and tightening screws) and to the right for reverse rotation (for loosening screws or removing bits).

When the switch is in the center position, the trigger is locked, preventing accidental startup.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.

  • Always disconnect the battery pack before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the drill. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Keep the ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating. Use compressed air if necessary.
  • Clean the chuck jaws regularly to ensure proper gripping of bits.

7.2 Battery Care and Storage

  • Store the battery pack in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
  • Do not store the battery pack fully discharged or fully charged for extended periods.
  • If the battery will not be used for a long time, recharge it every 3-6 months.

7.3 Storage of the Tool

After use, store the drill and its accessories in the provided portable storage bag. This protects the tool from dust and damage and keeps all components organized.
