Setup and Installation

These landscape lights are designed for quick and easy installation, offering both ground insertion and wall mounting options. A low-voltage transformer and low-voltage wires are required for installation and are sold separately.

Wiring Connection

The low-voltage wires are divided into two lines. When connecting, it is not necessary to distinguish between "+" and "-" poles. Use the provided connectors to link the light's wires to your low voltage wire.

  1. Divide the power cable into two halves.
  2. Put one half of the cable into the large cap of the connector.
  3. Screw the pin part into the cap to pierce the power cable.
  4. Insert the light wire through the small cap of the connector.
  5. Screw the small cap into the joint.
  6. Pull test to ensure the wire does not come out.

Mounting Options

You can choose between ground insertion using the included spike or wall mounting.

  • Ground Inserted: Connect the spike to the light, then insert it into the ground. Adjust the light angle as needed.
  • Wall Mounted: Fix the holder to the wall using screws (from the screw pack), then attach the light to the holder. Adjust the light angle as needed.

Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and connected to a compatible 12-24V DC/AC low-voltage transformer (not included), the lights will operate according to the transformer's settings. Ensure the transformer is powered on to activate the lights.

  • Adjusting Light Angle: The lamp head can be adjusted up to 270° to direct the light precisely where needed. Loosen the adjustment screw, position the light, and then tighten the screw to secure it.
  • Power On/Off: Control the lights via the connected low-voltage transformer.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your MEIKEE landscape lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or debris that may obstruct light output. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect wires and connections for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. Ensure all connections remain secure.
  • Weather Resistance: The lights are IP66 waterproof, designed to withstand rain, snow, and extreme temperatures (-25°C to 40°C). However, avoid submerging the lights in water.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Lights not turning on
  • No power to the transformer.
  • Loose or incorrect wiring connections.
  • Faulty transformer.
  • Check if the transformer is plugged in and receiving power.
  • Verify all wire connections are secure and properly installed.
  • Test the transformer with a multimeter or replace it if suspected faulty. Ensure the transformer's wattage capacity is sufficient for all connected lights.
Lights are dim or flickering
  • Insufficient power from the transformer.
  • Long wire runs causing voltage drop.
  • Damaged light or wiring.
  • Ensure the transformer's wattage is adequate for the total load.
  • Use thicker gauge wires for longer runs or reduce the number of lights per run.
  • Inspect lights and wires for physical damage and replace if necessary.
Water inside the light housing
  • Improperly sealed connections.
  • Damage to the light's waterproof seals.
  • Re-check all wire connections and ensure they are tightly sealed.
  • If the light itself is damaged, it may need replacement.
