Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Placement

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present.
2. Soundbar Placement:
   • Place the soundbar on a stable, flat surface directly in front of your television.
   • Alternatively, the soundbar can be wall-mounted. Refer to the "Wall Mounting" section for detailed instructions.

3. Subwoofer Placement: Position the wired subwoofer on the floor near the soundbar, preferably in a corner or against a wall for enhanced bass response.

2. Connecting the Soundbar

The Aavante Bar Orion Plus offers various connectivity options:

• HDMI (ARC) Connection (Recommended for TV):

  Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI (ARC) port on the soundbar to the HDMI (ARC) port on your television. This allows for audio return channel functionality, enabling your TV remote to control the soundbar's volume.

• Optical Connection:

  Connect an optical cable from the OPTICAL port on the soundbar to the optical digital audio output on your television or other audio source.

• AUX Connection:

  Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect the AUX port on the soundbar to the audio output of your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, PC).

• USB Connection:

  Insert a USB drive into the USB port to play audio files directly from the drive.

• Bluetooth Connection:

  Power on the soundbar and switch to Bluetooth mode. On your device, search for "Aavante Bar Orion Plus" and pair. Refer to the "Operating Instructions - Bluetooth Mode" section for more details.

3. Power Connection

Connect the power cable from the soundbar to a wall outlet. Ensure the subwoofer is also connected to its power source and to the soundbar if it's a wired connection (as indicated by "Wired SW" in the model name).

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.
• Volume Control: Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the soundbar or remote control to adjust the volume.
• Input Source Selection: Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the soundbar or remote control to cycle through available input modes (Bluetooth, Optical, HDMI ARC, AUX, USB).

2. EQ Modes

The Aavante Bar Orion Plus features several pre-set Equalizer (EQ) modes to optimize audio for different content types:

• Music Mode: Optimized for music playback, providing balanced sound.
• 3D Mode: Enhances spatial audio for a more immersive experience.

Press the "EQ" button on the remote control to cycle through these modes.

3. Bass and Treble Control

Adjust the bass and treble levels to suit your personal preference using the master remote control.

• Use the "Bass +/-" buttons to increase or decrease the bass output.
• Use the "Treble +/-" buttons to increase or decrease the treble output.

4. Bluetooth Mode

1. Turn on the soundbar and select Bluetooth mode using the "Input" button. The LED indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device or computer.
3. Search for "Aavante Bar Orion Plus" in the list of available devices and select it to pair.
4. Once paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now play audio from your device through the soundbar.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the soundbar and subwoofer. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the finish.
• Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from the power source and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation around the soundbar and subwoofer to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
