Operating Instructions
Programming Watering Schedules
The RainPoint Home APP allows you to set up to 6 watering schedules per zone. You can choose from three watering modes and five frequencies to meet diverse watering needs:
- Normal Irrigation: Set duration from 1 minute to 12 hours.
- Interval Irrigation: Set duration from 1 second to 60 minutes.
- Cycle & Soak: Set duration from 1 minute to 12 hours.
Watering frequencies include daily, weekly, odd days, even days, or every 2 to 30 days.

Manual Watering
You can initiate manual watering directly from the app or by pressing the button on the timer. This allows for immediate watering without affecting your programmed schedules.

Rain Delay Function
To prevent overwatering during rainy periods, utilize the rain delay feature. You can set a delay of 24, 48, or 72 hours, after which your scheduled watering will automatically resume.

Seasonal Adjustment
The seasonal adjustment feature automatically modifies watering durations based on a percentage you set (10%-200%) for each month. This eliminates the need for frequent manual adjustments as seasons change.

Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears in the app. Use only new alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Periodically check the inlet filter for debris and clean it to ensure proper water flow. Use a soft brush and water.
- Winterization: Before freezing temperatures, remove the timer from the faucet, drain all water, and store it indoors in a dry, protected area. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods.
- Seal Inspection: Regularly inspect the rubber washers and seals for wear and tear. Replace if necessary to prevent leaks.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Timer not watering. | Low batteries, incorrect schedule, faucet off, clogged filter. | Replace batteries. Check app schedule. Ensure faucet is fully open. Clean inlet filter. |
| Water leaking from connections. | Loose connection, worn washer, damaged threads. | Tighten connections (hand-tighten only). Replace rubber washer. Inspect threads for damage. |
| Cannot connect to app via Bluetooth. | Timer out of range, Bluetooth off on phone, app issue. | Move closer to the timer (within 196 ft). Enable Bluetooth on your phone. Restart the app or phone. |
| Schedules not running as expected. | Rain delay active, seasonal adjustment, incorrect time zone. | Check if rain delay is active in the app. Verify seasonal adjustment settings. Confirm correct time zone in app settings. |
