2. Safety Information

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

1. Charging the Battery: Connect the charger to a power outlet. Insert the 60V Max* Lithium-ion battery into the charger. The charge level indicator on the battery will show its current status. Allow the battery to fully charge before first use.
2. Installing the Battery: Align the battery pack with the battery port on the hedge trimmer. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
3. Removing the Battery: Press the battery release tab and slide the battery pack out of the tool.

3.2 Attaching the Blade Cover

Always use the provided blade cover when the hedge trimmer is not in use or during storage to prevent accidental contact with the sharp blades.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting and Stopping the Hedge Trimmer

1. To Start: Ensure the battery is securely installed. Press the safety switch (located on the handle) with your thumb or finger, then squeeze the trigger. The blades will begin to move.
2. To Stop: Release the trigger. The blades will stop.

4.2 Adjusting the Rotating Handle

The 180° rotating handle allows for comfortable trimming in various orientations. To adjust, locate the handle release mechanism, press it, rotate the handle to one of the 5 desired positions, and ensure it locks securely into place.

4.3 Trimming Techniques

• Hold the hedge trimmer firmly with both hands.
• Use a sweeping motion to cut across the hedge.
• For vertical cuts, utilize the ergonomic D-shape dual-grip or the loop handle for better control.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Blade Care

Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. For optimal performance and longevity, lubricate the blades every couple of weeks with a few drops of oil, especially after extended use.

5.2 Cleaning and Storage

• After each use, remove the battery pack.
• Clean the blades and housing with a damp cloth. Remove any sap or debris.
• Always reattach the blade cover before storing.
• Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, secure location out of reach of children.

Common Issues and Solutions:

• Trimmer shuts on and off: This may indicate a low battery charge or overheating. Ensure the battery is fully charged and allow the tool to cool down if it has been used continuously for an extended period.
